AUTHOR'S NOTE

I would like to take a moment to thank all that read my story, either in its entirety or in part. I also wish to clarify some things.

I submitted my rough first draft in completed form for my Wattpad readers who have been with me these last few years and longer. I felt they deserved to see the end of the story they had been with so long. I know many have a love / hate relationship with my MC, so I wished to let them see how this journey ended.

However, I am well aware that it is a flawed work in its current form. Some scenes are dashed together, whole sections are from the top of my head and landed right out onto the page, and there are a lot of moments I did not fit in. I am aware that I basically glossed over the emotional traumas I inflicted on characters, and in my edits, these are moments that I will work hard to make more true. I left out the development of Dante's drug use, his cancellation by viewers for comments he made, and various other little surprises.

I also knew little about Mars habitats and space stations when I started, so I often would have Cashe walking from the Shop to the Tunnel with parts because I did not know what to have him do; now, he will have plans and goals. I also didn't have a lot of knowledge on vermiculture, vertical hydroponic farming, bee colonies, and the essentials needed for a Mars colony. As I learn, the story will develop and grow. Also, most of the women's names will change; Lia came from a partial word from Chinese, but I have been told it does not ring true, and I never associated Karina with Karen, which may have been subconscious, but that shouldn't stay.

I used to be a writer who hated editing. Now, I despise the work of writing (which is why this took so long), but love the editing process, and I expect I will do one full edit of my story each month six or more times before submitting to a professional editor to clean up whatever I miss. The foundations will be the same, along with most of the scenes, but it will be noticeably different. I also rarely "decorate" before the editing stage, as since I know stuff will change, I don't waste my time describing people or buildings or objects in detail until I am sure everything is locked down.

Once again, I wish to thank my readers and hope you garnered some enjoyment out of my sadistic little tale. ;)

Some final questions:

What did you think of the ending? Displeasing, but apporpriate? Poor? Good?

Did you see the end coming?

I wanted to show Cashe solving the murder to the best of his ability through profiling, but I am hearing that it may not have been clear. By the end, are you satisfied you know who the first murderer was?

Any other end comments or criticisms are welcome, and thanks once more.
