I zipped my dark blue suitcase and put on a black cardaigan. The look in the mirror was satisfying so the only thing I had to do was to get one of my weapons. The rest were hidden in my suitcase although I'd probably be getting one from the 5SOS security as well. I did accept the offered job which started today. The past two days flew by discussing my job that wasn't so well paid as the first one. After the contract was signed yesterday I still had 24 days to finish my mission but the guys only had three concerts left what took 13 days from me. I was about to spend 11 days with them, 11 days till they'd be dead.
The pocket knife went in my jeans pocket and I picked my bag up, throwing it on my shoulder. It was high time to go, I would meet them in front of my school which I hadn't visited for almost two weeks. Suddenly I head my cellphone ringing, no longer my LG but a brand new iPhone. My old phone was secured in my backpack since I needed to keep in touch with my boss.
"Megan Hall here," I answered politely. The number was unknown and I didn't want Jack or anyone familiar to have this number.
"It's Mikey here, we're waiting for you!" a cheerful voice said. I smiled and unlocked my door. The last look of my apartment was kind of sad since I didn't really have time to clean it. I'd have to do it when I get back.
"Give me a few minutes," I replied. "Wait, where did you get my number?" I added a question. If it had already got on the internet then it would have been available to everyone. I surely didn't want that and I got worried about my reply. Sure thing Jack and his boss, who was my boss as well, knew about my second job but they weren't as excited as I was.
"Marc," he only replied and weird noise got through the phone line.
"Megaaaaaaaaaaan, when will you be heeeeeeere?" Ashton yelled in his phone and I could have almost imagined him being all smiley and giggley.
"Soon Ashton," I shortly replied again. "I need to go, don't call me again," with these words I hung up and took my way to my school.
The path there was quite short and I saw a tourbus waiting for me. Good, I'll be sharing it with them. But then again, I couldn't kill them in their tourbus cause we'd be the only people in there. I walked to it and saw Marc opening the door for me. I saw the boys' faces on the window, Michael making a piggy face. Rolling my eyes I greeted Marc, who took my luggage and showed me the way in.
"This is the guys' driver, his name is Brad," Marc introduced me to a middle aged man that had some grey hair already. I shook hands with him, telling my name. He seemed to be nice and definitely not a material I'd want to kill. Not that the guys were as well.
"I have to give you your weapon, we're not meeting guys any sooner. Liz told me to take care of them," Marc explained to me and the name sounded so familiar to me. Liz, Liz, where had I heard it before? I bit my lip and remembered the girl in front of the arena. But it could not have been her? "Liz is Luke's mum, I'm sure you know that. She's pretty strict as well, she almost didn't agree with hiring you," he added and I smiled. Oh, sure thing. I'd already forgotten half the facts I had learnt about the guys. Marc took me to a room that was supposed to be a dinning one. It was tiny yet so nicely decorated. I noticed some dirty plates in the sink assuming guys had eaten before.
"Here's your pistol, you know when to use it right? You said you'd done some guarding before," he handed me a small black pistol that was definitely so freaking pretty. I hold it in my hand for a second before putting it back on the table. "Do you have any additional weapon?"
"I have my pocket knife with me," I simply stated wishing not to hand it to him. He noded and held my shoulder for a moment, looking deep into my eyes.
"We can protect them together. We're partners now and our job is to make them safe," he said almost softly. "I trust you Megan," was an additional sentence that made me so uncomfortable. How could he trust me if he didn't even know me.
"I trust you as well Marc," I was looking back into his eyes, giving him a hopefully calming look. "We aren't going to disappoint Liz."
"We defi..." his sentence was interrupted by guys rushing in. They squeezed us both in a hug, pushing the pistol on the ground. I squeeked and kicked it away not wanting anyone to get hurt yet.
"Get out!" I heard Marc protesting and pushing them away. They let us go sadly and their whole atenttion was turned to him.
"But why Marc, don't you love us?" Calum asked and pouted. I picked my pistol up as well as my clothes. Without noticing them I went to the bathroom where I changed myself into black jeans and black shirt with a security sign on. I sighed, clipping my gun on my waist as well as my phone in the back pocket. I also did my freshly washed hair in a pony tail and sighed again. I was an official security now.
"Megan come out, we miss you," Michael knocked and I stepped out.
"Hi guys," I awkwardly said, trying to play my fan role. They pulled me for a hug and I wrapped my arms around them. "Nice to see you again," I was pretty sure they all bought my role.
"We are about to show you your bunk," Luke said and put his fingers in my hair. He messed them a bit and I furrowed my eyebrows at him. "Sorry not sorry," he smiled with his cheerful blue eyes. His teeth was so straight and white, he must have been whitening it. But his mouth was pretty huge and it reminded me of something.
"You have mouth like Joker does," I blurted out not even thinking what I said. The looks on guys' faces were surprised and I was sure I fucked everything up. I'd probably have to leave the tourbus after an hour and finish my mission.
"You're crazy!" Ashton screamed and started laughing like crazy. The rest looked a bit unsure about laughing but started doing it as well, Luke joining the last pushing my shoulder.
"That was a good one, can you imagine Luke as a Joker?" Michael asked us all. "Actually, do you have a red lipstick?" he asked me them, wiping his eyes taht were a bit teary. I shook my head meaning no and he made a sad face.
"We'll buy it then! I mean, Megan will," Calum looked at me with his brown eyes. I bit my lip again and agreed with the decision. Luke fortunately didn't look offended, making fun out of each other was probably their daily routine. What a relief for me.
"You'll be sharing the room with Marc. I mean, you both will share it with us but we're separated in pairs because the rooms have two bed usually. That's obviously meant for the hotels. But all the bunks in this bus are together so we can have a sleepover every night!" Ashton clapped while stating his suggestion. The rest of guys seemed amused as well althought I wasn't sure Marc was a sleepover person. And I had my job as well, two of them actually. I couldn't afford staying up all night and not taking care of them in front of the hotels or arenas, I had to be there for them.
"Are you going for a grocery shopping with us today?" Luke's voice asked. I looked at him again and nodded.
"Do I have any other choice?"
"Nope, not really," he smiled again, putting his arm around my shoulder and holding me in a friendly hug. Damn, he was one tall fellow. "Why Joker?" he added then.
"Because of your mouth, I've never seen a person smiling so widely," I looked up at him while Ashton was hugging me from the other side, Calum from behind and Michael was leading our way to the bunks.
