A D H W I T

I never ever felt pity on anybody, untill now. When it was her. Nakshatra, my wife. She was pulling me like a strong force of magnet. I never ever thought that I'll decide to spend my entire life with someone because I couldn't see her sorrow. Not even Rhea. What was in her? Why did her gloomy face created a such a strong impact on me. I was thinking all this looking at her tiring figure. Just when we reached home. Peace. This is the definition of Peace for me. No camera, no media, nothing. I am just a common man here. The house is so special to me, I have millions of emotions attached with the house and the people who lived here. Mere Dadu and Dadi. Mr. Adhiraj Oberoi and his wife, Mrs. Meera Oberoi they were my everything. But my life never had perfect plans! Our house was something what people always called perfect. The Prem Mandir but the greed of one man, scattered the whole house, and began referring his house, made up of money, as Prem Mandir. Where love is nowhere to find...

When we reached home, I woke her up, but she was so damm tired, so I held her hand and left her in my room to change, until I asked a maid to arrange a guest room for her temporary. After leaving her there, I came downstairs and sat on the couch, after changing.
My phone rang, no body let me rest, cheking the name flashing on the screen, I rubbed my eyes to believe it was him. My so called Father. Mr Vikram Oberoi. Who didn't called me in past one and a half year. With so much hatred, I somehow managed to pick it up. “I heard you got married.” this is how we talk. Always formal. I don't think I never heard anything informal like Dadi always used to say. “Yeah so? since when my things began to matter you?” I asked. “Hello beta!” came a desperate voice from Mrs. Varsha oberoi. “It is Adhwit.” “Beta can you please come home, I need to perform some rituals.” “Rituals?” I chuckled bitterly “Frim when did you began taking rituals seriously. As far as I know, when Dadi died, you and your so called husband denied because you thought that it's too old fashioned. Am I right? Or rahi baat rituals ki, vo to Shanti kaaki bhi kar sakti h.” “Shanti? Beta she is a maid.” “Yeah, a maid. Who knows me better than my own mother.” “Listen Adhwit. You are coming to here and that is an order, not a request.” “Who am I to follow your order. A maid?” “Adhwit, you are coming or else you also know what can I do.” he said. I won't lie, but in this matter, I need to follow him cause he can do whatever he wants. By tit or tat.

Checking the time, it was already 30 minutes. And I decided to ask Nakshatra about it. Knocking on the door, I entered inside, and saw her struggling with her jwellery.  “Need any help!” “Well it seems like!” she chuckled awkwardly. I went near her and stood behind her, I held the thread, my fingers brushing again her bare back, causing the hairs behind her neck stand. The nuptial chain and the vermillion suits her pretty much. “You are looking more beautiful after being a married woman!” out of blue, the words slipped out of tongue. “Thanks” she said giving me her smile. “Please wait here, if you want to talk about something. I'm coming after taking a quick shower” she said.

She came outside, her long hairs tied in a simple lose braid, meanwhile her Beige silk dress fitting her perfectly. “Yes you wanted to talk to me?” she asked. “Sit!!!” I said, and she sat on the couch. “My parents got to know we married and they think I love you, I do not share good relations with them so I don't live with them. So if you are comfortable, can we just pretend that we umm love eachother?” “Sure! Afterall, how can I say no, when you've done a lot to me?” she said “Great, then please apply a leave for tomorrow and day after tomorrow, tomorrow we are going to my house and then after that to your house for pagphere.” she nodded. But the previous energy was missing, how energetic was she when I met her! “Listen!” “Yes?” “Just remember, Aditya's death wasn't your fault!!!” I said and she said thanks and left...

My life was calm, no fire, no flame,
But now a spark, I cannot tame.
A force so fierce, it overflows,
An urge unbound, a storm that grows.
