N A K S H A T R A
Three days went and I was terrified to go out. But life couldn't be passed out by simply locking myself in the room. When I told him about me joining the hospital, he was unsure about me. But after some time, he agreed telling me, he'll pick me up and drop me.
Just then, my phone rang. “Hello?” I spoke. No response. “Hello?” just then something clicked me.
“Is it you Aditya?” I asked doubtfully. “I'm in India. Tell me where to meet!” “Why don't you come at my home. That will be best for you.” I said.
I rang the bell and there sat Adhwit and Aditya talking. I can easily make out by my husband's reaction that he is shocked. And the water on the table is still untouched. Indicating, he just arrived. I sat on the couch beside him “Remeber him Adhwit?” i asked. “He.. he's Aditya, no? The man whome you were supposed to marry!” I nodded looking at his shocked expression causing a smile to crep on my face. “But... But he was dead, no?” “No! It was our planning. I wanted to see my bua maa. Did she really loved me or my wealth. And Adhwit, my cousin, Anaya, she loves you too much and she can't see you with other woman, so nakshatra, be aware!”
Aditya stood outside his bua maa’s house, staring at the door as if the very sight of it might shatter everything he had once believed. The love and respect he had felt for her seemed like a distant memory now, replaced by the heavy truth that had been slowly unraveling before him.
He hesitated before knocking, his heart pounding in his chest. The woman who had raised him, the woman he had trusted more than anyone, had been manipulating him all along. She had used his love for her to weave a web of lies, all in the name of greed.
When the door opened, his bua maa greeted him with a smile, but there was something hollow about it now. Her eyes darted to the side, and Aditya could feel the weight of the unspoken truth hanging in the air.
“Aditya?,” she asked, her voice shocked, but there was a tremor beneath the surface. “What brings you here today?”
“Cut the act, bua maa,” Aditya said, his voice hoarse with anger and betrayal. “I know everything. I know about you and Anaya. The lies, the manipulation... you were never interested in me as a person. You only wanted my wealth.”
Her smile faltered for a moment, then she tried to regain her composure. “Aditya, you don’t understand. I did all of this for you, for our family. This inheritance, it’s our legacy.”
“No,” he snapped, his voice trembling with raw emotion. “You did this for yourself. You used me. I loved you like a mother, and you… you were nothing but a wolf in sheep’s clothing.”
His words hit harder than any physical blow. He had never imagined that the woman he had trusted with his life would be the one to betray him the most. His world felt like it was collapsing in on itself, and the weight of the realization was almost unbearable.
“I never wanted this, Aditya,” she said, her voice cracking, though there was no remorse in her eyes. “But you’ve always been too soft. You never saw how important this was. I had to do what I had to do.”
Aditya took a step back, his legs shaking. “I gave you everything, and you turned it into a game. You don’t care about me. You never did. It was always about the money.”
A sob escaped him, and he sank into the nearest chair, his face buried in his hands. He had loved her with all his heart, and now he realized it had been nothing more than a facade. The one person he thought he could trust had only ever seen him as a tool to get what she wanted.
Her cold gaze softened for just a moment, and in that brief instant, Aditya saw the woman she used to be—before the greed, before the lies. But it was too late. The damage had already been done.
“I can’t believe you did this to me,” he whispered, his voice breaking.
Aditya stood up, his legs unsteady, and turned to leave. He couldn’t be in this house any longer. Every memory he had with her felt like a lie now, and he didn’t know how to go on living with this truth.
But as he stepped outside, the weight of his betrayal hit him harder than anything else. He had trusted her more than anyone, and now, all he felt was emptiness. The tears he had held back finally broke free, and he collapsed against the nearest wall, his heart aching with the realization that love could be so easily destroyed by greed...
Aditya was so broken by now. He was hard to control. But the door burst open, revealing a Terrified Sahira! “Sahira? What happened? Why are you panting?” I asked. “N... Nakshatra, can I stay at your house for now!” she asked. “Yeah sure, but where is Avys and Tinci?” I asked. “He's not here, and Tinci is with him. He went due to an Emergency. I asked paridhi to stay at her house, but her parents didn't allowed. So I came here!”
I smiled, and then shocked when I saw Aditya, looking at her, more like admiring her!

It was night and I was replaying the conversation between Aditya and Adhwit that they both believe, I didn't hear.
“Aditya! I know you need my wife, and we're ready to help you! But if you assure that you don't love her, and won't snatch her from me!” Aditya chuckled. “Don't worry bro. She's just my friend and you can trust me! Anyways, she's lucky to have a husband like you!” he said. “No, I am lucky to have a wife like her!”
