Serene's POV

After a delicious dinner filled with laughter and playful banter, Aki and I retreated to her bedroom.

The atmosphere felt cozy and inviting, with soft lighting and the faint scent of lavender lingering in the air. I loved how Aki always made her space feel like a home, a sanctuary where I could truly relax.

"Alright, let's get you some comfy clothes," Aki said, heading to her wardrobe. I watched as she pulled open the doors, revealing a neatly organized collection of clothes.

I felt a little giddy knowing I had my own spot in her life, even if it was just in her wardrobe.

"Do you think I should wear an oversized hoodie or cute pajamas?" I asked, trying to decide while glancing through the options.

"Definitely the hoodie," Aki replied, holding up a soft, navy-blue hoodie with a playful grin. "It's like wearing a warm hug."

I laughed, nodding in agreement. "Good choice! I'll be right back!" I dashed to the bathroom, eager to wash away the day and slip into something comfortable.

Once inside, I turned on the shower and let the warm water cascade over me. I closed my eyes, allowing the steam to envelop me, and I couldn't help but think about how lucky I was to be here with Aki.

The sound of the water splashing against the tile felt soothing, and I let my mind wander to our earlier conversations, the way she made me feel cherished and special.

After a refreshing shower, I wrapped myself in a fluffy towel and emerged from the bathroom, feeling rejuvenated.

I noticed Aki had already set up the movie, the soft glow of the screen illuminating the room. She had arranged a cozy spot on the bed with plenty of pillows and blankets, creating the perfect movie-watching nest.

"Come, I already prepared your favorite movie. Barbie time for you, princess.!" Aki announced, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "It's your reward."

I giggled, my heart fluttering at her infectious enthusiasm. "I love it! It's been ages since I watched a Barbie movie."

As I slipped into the oversized hoodie, it enveloped me like a comforting blanket, and I couldn't help but smile at how it smelled faintly of Aki.

I climbed onto the bed, sinking into the soft covers beside her.

"Ready?" Aki asked, her face lit up with anticipation.

"Ready!" I replied, snuggling closer to her as she hit play.

The movie started, and I settled in, watching the vibrant colors and catchy songs fill the screen. Aki sat beside me, her presence warm and reassuring.

Every now and then, I would glance at her, and I felt a spark of joy just being there, sharing these moments together.

As the story unfolded, I couldn't help but sing along to the familiar tunes, and Aki joined in, her voice harmonizing with mine.

We laughed at the silly antics on screen, our playful energy making the world outside fade away.

About halfway through the movie, I leaned back against the pillows, feeling relaxed and content. "This is perfect, Aki. I'm so glad we're doing this."

"Me too," she replied, glancing at me with a soft smile. "You deserve all the joy in the world, Serene."

My heart raced at her words. "You make me so happy, Aki. I really appreciate everything you do for me."

Aki turned to me, her expression serious for a moment. "You don't have to thank me for being here. I care about you more than you know."

I felt a warmth spread through my chest, and I wished I could express everything I felt for her. But in that moment, just being together was enough.
