A glimpse of Serene's POV
I blinked my eyes open, the brightness overwhelming me at first.
As my vision cleared, I found myself lying in a vast garden, surrounded by blooming roses and tulips in every color imaginable.
The air was sweet with their fragrance, and a gentle breeze rustled the petals, creating a soothing melody.
The sky above was a brilliant blue, dotted with fluffy white clouds that drifted lazily by.
Where am I? I wondered, pushing myself up on my elbows.
The scene before me was surreal, almost too perfect to be real.
The flowers swayed as if beckoning me to stay, to lose myself in their beauty. I could feel a sense of peace enveloping me, like a warm blanket on a chilly day.
But a nagging thought tugged at my mind. Something wasn't right. I tried to remember how I had ended up here, but the last thing I could recall was a sharp pain, a flash of chaos.
I shook my head, trying to clear the fog.
As I sat there, the vibrant colors around me seemed to pulse with life. I felt an urge to wander through the garden, to touch the soft petals and breathe in the sweet scent.
But just as I began to rise, I heard voices in the distance.
"Sam, my dear, can you hear me?" It was my mother's voice, rich and warm, filled with concern.
"Stay with us, please!" Richie's voice chimed in, desperate and pleading.
"Hold on, sweetheart! We're here!" My father's voice joined the chorus, steady and reassuring.
And then, cutting through the haze, I heard Aki's voice, firm yet filled with emotion. "Don't leave me, Serene. I need you!"
A shiver ran down my spine at the sound of her name. I could feel a connection, a tether pulling me towards them. Why were they calling for me? What was happening?
I glanced around the garden, searching for the source of their voices.
But the colorful blooms surrounded me, creating a barrier between me and the outside world.
I felt a longing to reach them, to understand why they were so worried.
"Serene! Baby, please." Aki's voice rang out again, filled with urgency. It echoed in my mind, a lifeline pulling me back.
I wanted to respond, to call out to them, but my voice felt trapped in my throat.
The garden, despite its beauty, began to feel like a dream I couldn't quite grasp. I felt weightless, as if I was floating between two worlds.
The voices grew louder, more insistent, and I closed my eyes, concentrating on their sounds.
"Please, Serene, come back, come back to me, princess." Aki urged, her tone breaking slightly.
At that moment, I realized that this garden, while enchanting, was not my home. My heart ached with the desire to return to the people I loved, to the warmth of their presence.
I took a deep breath, focusing on Aki's voice, and let it guide me.
But no matter what I do, I can't seem to find my way back.
I can't escape this world that I'm currently in.
I feel like I was stuck, I wanted to come back. I was shouting and begging to whoever was listening to me, but nothing happened.
"Aki! Baby!" I called and cried.
"Aki!" I tried to shout, but the words wouldn't come. It was as if the very air around me had thickened, smothering my voice. Panic bubbled within me. "I need to go back!"
The garden, though breathtaking, felt increasingly isolating. I stood up, glancing around for any sign of a way out.
The flowers swayed gently, but no path revealed itself. It was as if I was in a painting, beautiful yet confined, unable to step outside the frame.
"Serene!" The voices echoed again, clearer this time but still distant. I closed my eyes, focusing on each familiar sound.
A wave of longing washed over me, and I took a step forward, willing my legs to carry me toward them.
But the ground felt unyielding, as if it were rooted in place. I stumbled, frustration mounting. "Why can't I reach you?" I whispered into the fragrant air.
The garden seemed to respond with silence, the vibrant colors dulling just slightly, as if reflecting my despair. I was trapped in this dreamlike state, caught between two worlds.
Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes again, trying to concentrate on the warmth of Aki's voice.
I imagined her standing there, just out of sight, waiting for me. "I'm here!" I called out silently. "I'm coming back!"
But still, the garden held me captive. I felt like a ghost haunting a beautiful place, longing for connection but unable to break free from this enchanting prison.
Desperation clawed at me as I opened my eyes, scanning the horizon for any sign of escape. "Please! Let me go back!" I cried and cried, the words finally breaking free, but the wind carried them away, leaving me feeling more alone than ever.
The voices faded into the distance, but I could still feel their presence, a thread connecting me to the world outside.
I shouted and shouted until I could feel my voice giving up, I tried to, but my body gave up. The next thing I know, I was lying on the ground whispering, "Please, I can't leave them, yet. Let me go back."
Until darkness consumed me once again.
