Serene's POV

The next day, I woke up feeling grumpier. I didn't receive any text messages from Aki like I usually do. She said she's going to make it up to me, but where is she now? Tsk. Annoying!

So I got up from my bed, unwillingly went to my bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth.

After doing so, I went downstairs to have breakfast with my family. I'm sure they were already waiting for me. My mom would scold me if I don't eat breakfast with them, especially on sundays.

When I got into our dining room, the familiar scent of breakfast wafting through the air. I was greeted by the sight of my family gathered at the table. My dad was reading the newspaper, my mom was flipping pancakes, and Richie was already digging into his breakfast.

I went to greet them and I was confused when I noticed that all the foods that were prepared on the table were my favorites.

Hotdogs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, and eggs.

"Good morning mom, good morning dad." I kissed my parents on their cheeks.

"Good morning, princess." My dad greeted me back and my mom just smiled at me.

"Good morning, bro." I said to my brother while she just stuck his tongue out which made me more grumpier. He's really annoying.

I was about to pull my chair to sit down when my nose was filled with my most favorite scent.

It can't be.... I was about to look around when a bouquet of roses blocked my sight from doing so.

"Good morning, my princess." I heard Aki's voice from behind which made me turn around immediately.

I tried my best to hide my smile but I failed.

"Roses for the most beautiful princess in this world. My princess." She said while showing me her smile that only I could witness.

It's true. When you see Aki outside or with other people, you would never see her smile, genuine smile I mean. You would never see her being soft with others.

She's cold, ruthless, and grumpy with others.

But with me, she's like a completely different person.

I didn't realize I was staring at her for too long until she spoke again. "My hands are already aching, Serene. You don't want to accept this?" she uttered and pouted.

"Sorry, Thank you for this." I said and cleared my throat.

She just smiled at me and pulled a chair for me. I then sat down and said thank you, again. She also took a seat beside me and started to put foods in my plates.

"You didn't greet me this morning." I whispered to her.

"I'm sorry, I came here early and I was too busy cooking all of these for you." She said while slicing some of my food before giving it to me.

"You cooked these?" I asked.

"Yes, I told you, I'll make it up to you right?"

I didn't answer her and just started to eat. I'm pretty sure my cheeks were turning red now. I told you, when Aki says something to me, she'll definitely do it.

"Zyd, you don't have to go to work today? I know it's sunday but you usually go to work on sundays." my dad asked.

"No tito, I'll skip today. I did something that got Serene pretty upset with me so I'll take her out for today. Is that okay tito, tita?" Aki answered and I secretly smiled.
