Chapter 13

Serene's POV

One morning, I decided to wake up early and surprise my girlfriend by cooking her breakfast. Don't get me wrong, I honestly don't know how to cook but I still want to try. 

After all, it's the thought that counts right?

So here I am, on my way to Aki's mansion.

I don't have classes today and it's still early, it's just 6 am now. Aki will go to her company today though. She'll wake up around 7:30 so I still have time to cook.

Lately, I've been noticing that Aki was losing weight. I told her about that but she just said she sometimes forgets to eat on time so I scolded her. She promised me that she won't skip a meal from now on, though.

I still want to make sure so I always text or call her to remind her about that.

When I got to their house, Aki's mom greeted me.

"Samantha, dear good morning. What brings you here this early?" She kissed my cheeks and hugged me.

"Hi tita mommy. Good morning. Sorry for coming unannounced. I just want to surprise Aki and cook her breakfast. I hope that's okay." I shyly said.

She just chuckled and guided me towards their kitchen.

"Of course, you're always welcome here. You can do whatever you want. But do you know how to cook?" she looked at me teasing.

"Uhmmm, can you teach me?"

She chuckled again and grabbed some ingredients.

Not long after, we're now done cooking and Aki's mom excused herself. She said she has to go so I was left here.

I decided to keep the food for a while and went to my girl's bedroom.

I quietly opened her door and tiptoed my way towards her. Careful not to wake her up.

When I reached her, I sat slowly on the other side of the bed and stared at her.

She was hugging a pillow, wrapped around her blanket. Such a baby. My baby.

I softly caressed her hair and kissed her head. I decided to just wait for her to wake up since she looks so peaceful while sleeping. I don't want to bother her.

I tucked myself too, under her blanket and carefully hugged her.

She stirred a bit but thankfully, she didn't wake up.

All I wanted was to cuddle with her but I didn't notice that I also fell asleep.

When I woke up again, I saw her staring at me.

"Good morning, my princess. What are you doing here, huh?" she asked and put my head on her chest.

"I want to surprise you. I cooked you breakfast. I didn't want to wake you up early so I decided to just wait for you, but it turns out I fell asleep again." I answered with my sleepy voice.

She just chuckled at me and kissed me on my forehead.

"Thank you, baby. You don't have to, but thank you. I appreciate it."

"Let's cuddle for five more minutes then we can go downstairs and eat, how about that?" She added.

"Hmmm. I love you, Aki." I said and kissed her lips.

It was just supposed to be a peck but she held my nape and held me tight, not wanting to let go of my lips.

"I love you, baby. So much."

With that, we cuddled and talked about life for who knows how long.

Then we finally made our way to the kitchen, and Aki's eyes widened at the sight of the breakfast spread. "Wow, this looks incredible! Thank you babe." she exclaimed, clearly impressed.
