Living in Jasper, Nevada, makes you wonder what life is like in the bigger, more important cities or how boring life can get in one of the rural towns in America. Meet Sean Rodriguez, a member of the yearbook club at high school and the son of a dri...
"Sonny?! You're ALIVE!" The drill sergeant immediately embraced his son in a massive hug, squeezing him hard. And it wasn't long before Sean's friends joined in the fray, making sure more oxygen was inadvertently squeezed out of his lungs.
"Woah! What happened to your eyes?! You look like the Autobots!" Jack was rather surprised when he noticed his recovering friend.
Sean was perplexed by this. "My...eyes? What's wrong with them?"
"They're blue, silly!" Miko exclaimed. "Not super duper bright like the bots, but still!"
Now Sean was interested, as he heard Bumblebee cheering for Rafael's safety. When asked if he noticed it, too, the Autobot scout looked closer at the blonde teenager, and beeped back with what seemed like an acknowledgment.
And it sure was. ":Huh, they are a little blue, but I think that's because of the Energon effect in his body.:"
It wasn't long before the Autobots breathed a sigh of relief. But at the same time, they began to process what had occurred before their eyes.
For them, it didn't make any sense. Throughout the eons in this conflict, none of what had happened within the last ten minutes made any sense.
And yet there was no mistaking it. For the first time since the Autobots' introduction to the substance, a living person, or any organic for that matter, was possessed by the Dark Energon during the infection phase. And not just that, but Scourge himself, the lost spark that is trapped alongside his overlord, had possessed the human while still alive.
Their thoughts were interrupted as Sean suddenly gagged before then running off a few feet away from the others and hurled onto the floor, with some of the substance being the Energon.
This immediately prompted Tyler and June into taking the two formerly infected patients back to Jasper to get checked on for their health. The other humans and Autobots protested this due to the heightened risk of attack by the Decepticons; but Sean himself raised his hand to stop them.
"I appreciate the help- really, I do- but this is something that I have to get looked at. June's right, we know more about taking care of our bodies. Please, just let me and Raf get going."
Ratchet sighed as he squeezed his nose bridge. Optimus, still cautious about what transpired earlier, agreed to their request, but on the condition they travel through the ground bridge to jump the distance to the town and avoid confrontations with the Cons. They agreed, and soon the two parents, Rafael, and Sean drove through the portal back to Jasper.
—[LATER, ONBOARD THE NEMESIS]—
While Nightbird had been strolling the hallways, she quickly noticed several alarms went off, signaling an intrusion, and several Cons ran past her with their cannons already active. Not even five seconds after the first group disappeared from her sight that the sound of blaster fire was heard.
"Alert from beacon sensors!" A message internally blared from her recon systems. Taking the opportunity, Nightbird excused herself to a room out of sight, before then activating a projector from the crystal-shaped device on her forehead.
From there, she watched as a yellow-haired Earthling banged his fists against the glass wall, shouting some incoherent words. Once the enhanced audio filtered out the other noises, she widened her yellow optics in shock.
"ABANDON ALL HOPE, YE WHO SET EYES ON THE GREAT DESTROYER!!!" The human exclaimed, before suddenly being engulfed in a bright blue light. From there, the recording ended.
"What in the AllSpark...?" Nightbird rested a hand on her hip, confused at the strange purple glow in the human's eyes. "An infected human? That's too bad, but at least..."
"...wait a minute..."
"So you're the blonde Team Prime said you've...huh, interesting. No wonder Arachnid was mad..."
Her yellow optics then spotted the result from that message. They widened even further and faster when they settled on the words "possession by Scourge, and yet he had somehow survived."
