Violet POV
I can already feel like today is going to be crazy. It's not even 8am and I already had messages from Detectives to assist in cases and to help a few from other divisions with profiles. Thankfully Nell is in today.
I was currently walking towards Sergeant Greys office when I saw Lucy and Nolan walk into the main area with Officer West, already dressed for the day.
Why does Nolan have a shirt with Lucy on it? Anyway.
Stopping at Grey's officer door, I knock on the already open door.
"Good Morning Sir" I say to Grey which makes him laugh a little.
"Good morning Violet and you don't need to say sir to me, how many times have I said that?" He asked, looking up from his paperwork and leaning back in his chair, crossing his arms.
"This year? 34, since we've known each other 273, sir" I say, giving him a small smile towards the end.
"Mm and can you explain why you do that" He asked.
"Because we are at work, in a professional environment. You are a Sergeant and someone I respect both professional and personal, so I call you sir out of respect" I try to explain, starting to get nervous and moving the folders in my arms closer to my chest.
"You respect Lopez and Bradford both professionally and personally, why don't you call them sir and ma'am?" He asked.
"I do respect them both professionally but Angela has been with me through some very... personal stuff plus she threatened to take my coffee machine away if I keep calling her ma'am after the first week of me working here." I explained.
"And Bradford?"
"He has too big of an ego as it is, don't want to add to it" I say while looking out his office window before looking down at the folders.
"These reports need to be redone and dispatch has a few follow up calls that will be attached to morning patrol, just an FYI" I say moving on from the discussion and why I came down here in the first place.
"Who's report's?" He asked, moving to look through the reports I had laid out onto his desk.
"Officer Smitty"
"Of course, and what are you today? The station's secretary, shouldn't someone else bring these down?" He asked, pick up the relevant folders for the morning shift's briefing.
"All I know is that they made their way to my desk and now they are on yours. Dispatch had an influx of calls this morning, some of them related to a couple of cases I'm working on for Detective Sergeant Caradine" I say, following Grey as he walks out of his office and towards the briefing room.
"Alright, I'll give them a heads up"
"Thank you, I'll be in my office if you need me" I give him a small smile before walking back towards the stair and to my office.

Later that afternoon - No POV
Violet was walking down the stairs, her phone close to her chest looking for Tim. She found him talking to Lucy, looking very serious as always. Walking closer to the pair she heard the last part of their conversation.
"The second he or she laid hands"
"That is a very enlightened attitude" Lucy told Tim
"You seem surprised," Tim said before noticing Violet coming to stand next to them.
"Sir, you surprise me every day" Lucy continued to say before looking at Violet with a smile.
"What does he surprise you with?" Violet asked confused, but before Lucy could give her an answer Tim spoke.
