The next day

In Demon Quelling Palace

Everyone gathered in the dining hall to have breakfast. There Wei Zhan told Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji that Lan Yibo agreed to marry him and wanted to exchange the betrothal gifts.

"Really?" Wei Wuxian asked Yibo excitedly and Yibo nodded his head.

"Then let's exchange the betrothal gifts as soon as possible." Lan Wangji said.

"Betrothal gifts are all ready. Let's just head to Cloud Recesses with the gifts now." Wei Wuxian said.

"Don't rush things, Wei Ying." Lan Wangji said.

"I am not rushing anything. It's high time to exchange the betrothal gifts." Wei Wuxian said.

"I know, but we can't go there without informing Xiongzhang and Uncle." Lan Wangji said.

"Just send Sect Leader Lan a message. Tell him that we will reach Cloud Recesses tomorrow morning." Wei Wuxian said.

"I agree with Dad." Zhan said and Lan Wangji sighed.

"Fine." Lan Wangji said and Yibo turned to him.

"Wangji Mama, can you tell Father to call Sister-in-law's omega brother to come to Cloud Recesses?" Yibo asked.

"Why do you want that omega to come to Cloud Recesses on the day of our betrothal?" Zhan asked while frowning.

"I want him to see that his words didn't effect me. I want him to see that I am going to marry you very soon." Yibo said and Zhan smiled.

"That's my son-in-law." Wei Wuxian said with a smirk.

"Okay, I will inform Xiongzhang about it." Lan Wangji said.

"Thank you, Wangji Mama." Yibo said and bowed to Lan Wangji who nodded his head.

"Whoever wants to go to Cloud Recesses, go back to your quarters and get ready as soon as you finish your breakfast. We will leave for Cloud Recesses after three hours." Wei Wuxian said and the others nodded their heads.

Zhan turned to Yibo who was sitting beside him. He held Yibo's hand tightly. Then they both smiled at each other.

In Caiyi Town

The Wei family and some of the disciples arrived at Caiyi Town in the evening. They booked a whole inn as they decided to spend the night in the inn.

Zhan was standing in the balcony of his room when he felt a cloth fell on his shoulder. He turned around and saw Yibo who had a soft smile on his face.

"It's cold in Gusu unlike in Yiling. Dress warmly." Yibo said while adjusting a cloak around Zhan's shoulder.

"You should dress warmly too." Zhan said as he held Yibo's hand and made him stand in front of him.

"I am used to living in Gusu. I don't have any problem." Yibo said and smiled.

Zhan turned Yibo around and back hugged him. Then he kept his head on Yibo's shoulder.

"The weather of Gusu is cold where as the weather of Yiling is hot. After our marriage, you will have difficulty to adjust to the weather." Zhan said and Yibo shook his head.

"I don't have much problem. Since childhood, I am living both in Cloud Recesses and Demon Quelling Palace. I am used to both of the weathers." Yibo said and Zhan nodded his head.
