In Qinghe Market

Wei Lanxin and Jiang Ruo were having tea in a restaurant of Qinghe Market. They met here by chance and decided to have some tea while talking about their lives.

"Why do you feel upset?" Ruo asked while staring at Lanxin who was looking sad.

"What are you talking about? I am not upset at all." Lanxin said and started to sip on her tea.

"Yes, you are right. You are not upset, you are sad." Ruo said and Lanxin choked on her tea. Lanxin started to cough and Ruo became worried.

"Be careful." Ruo said and started to pat on Lanxin's back.

"I am fine. Thank you." Lanxin said and forced a smile.

"Lanxin jie, you can't hide anything from me." Ruo said while staring intensely at Lanxin making Lanxin sighed.

"As you know, I like Liu Sheng and want to impress him. He wants to become the strongest cultivator. I wanted to help him that's why I convinced Father to fight with him. Father said that if Liu Sheng can defeat my brother then he will fight with Liu Sheng. I met Liu Sheng yesterday and told him about it. After hearing everything, he became angry. He scolded me and told me not to interfere in his life. He even tell me to stay away from him." Lanxin said and tears started to roll down from her head. But she quickly wiped her tears.

"I see. You wanted to help him. But you did it in the wrong away." Ruo said.

"How?" Lanxin asked while frowning.

"See, Liu Sheng is an alpha who cares about his ability a lot. He wants to defeat other cultivators on his own ability. If you help him it would seems like you are looking down on him." Ruo said.

"But I didn't mean it." Lanxin said.

"I know. But he might not know. He might think that you don't believe in him that's why you are using your connection to help him. He might even look down on you as you are using your family to help yourself. He might think that you are not strong enough and always rely on your family. This way, instead of liking you, he might start to dislike you. It might not be the case too as I am just saying it from an alpha's prospective." Ruo said and Lanxin started to think.

"You are right. If I were in Liu Sheng's place then will be thinking these things. Aiyaa, how stupid of me." Lanxin said and kept his head on her plam.

"Now, you know that your technic is wrong. So, currect yourself and go after that alpha. I am sure you can win Liu Sheng's heart. Keep it up." Ruo said as she showered her support to Lanxin.

"Well, I already have a plan." Lanxin said and smirked.

"What is it?" Ruo asked curiously.

Lanxin signaled her to come closer and Ruo obeyed. Then she whispered something near Ruo's ear. After hearing everything, Ruo smiled and moved away from Lanxin.

"That's a good plan." Ruo said while showing her thumbs at Lanxin who just smirked in return.

Lanxin entered his father's study where Wei Wuxian was working on some talisman and as usual he was alone.

"Baba, baba." Lanxin called in a spoiled tone.

Hearing Lanxin's voice, Wei Wuxian looked up and found that Lanxin was smiling sweetly at him. Wei Wuxian frowned as he understood that his daughter was upto something.
