I smiled, taking a seat across from her.

"I see something in you, Mariana. Something you don't see in yourself yet."

She looked confused, her brow furrowing.

"What does that mean?"

"You've been hiding," I said quietly, watching her carefully. "Living a quiet life, pretending to be someone you're not. But you can't hide forever. You're meant for something more."

She wanted to deny it, but she couldn't.

She was beginning to understand, even if she didn't want to.

"What if I don't want any of this?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.

I leaned forward, my gaze locking onto hers.

"But you do. That's why you're here."

She didn't respond, but I didn't need her to.

Her presence was enough.
