Chris' POV
I woke up around 10 am and looked around, realising I'm in Nick's room. He was still sleeping next to me when I realised that a certain someone wasn't here. Where is Madelyn?
I slowly got out of bed, trying my best to not wake up Nick and walked out of his room and down the stairs. When I reached the bottom, I looked towards the couch and there she was. Madi was sleeping on the couch. Why? I couldn't tell you. But I felt bad, because I doubt sleeping on the couch would be the most comfortable.
I walked to the kitchen and grabbed a water bottle and went back to the living room. I was debating whether or not should I stay here or go downstairs to my room but I really didn't wanna be alone so I sat on the couch next to Madi, still giving her some personal space.
There was something interesting about this girl. Besides the fact that she was beautiful and attractive. I don't know what it is but I feel weird around her. I mean we just met yesterday and I'm usually a really social person but something is up with her that makes me nervous for some reason. Maybe it's just the fact that we watched a disgustingly terrifying movie last night and the nerves haven't worn off yet.
"Good morning." I heard from my left. I turned my head and there she sat.
"Good morning. Why did you sleep on the couch?" I asked her, wanting to figure out the reason.
"Well I walked up to Nick's room last night but you two were cuddled up to each other and I didn't want to wake you two up. So I just spent the night down here." Madi said in a quiet tone, a really calming one.
"Alone? Weren't you scared?" I asked her, realising she sat here by herself in complete darkness.
"A little bit at first, yeah. But after a few moment I realised that your house isn't actually haunted so I calmed down and slept pretty well." she told me, looking me in the eyes. That made the nerves come back. I cannot understand why though.
"Oh okay." really Chris? Was this all I could say? Luckily Matt's door opened and Millie came out, joining us on the couch.
"Good morning to my favourite girl in the whole world!" she said, sitting next to Madi and hugging her tightly.
"Millie...I can't breathe." Madi said, making the other girl loosen the grip she had around her. "Thank you. And good morning to you too."
"I'm so happy that you get to be my roommate Mads, you have no idea." Millie said, a big smile taking over her face.
"Oh Mills, I think I have a pretty good idea." Madelyn said right after, playfully shoving her best friend.
"Hey Millie, is Matt awake?" I asked the girl that was basically living with us half of the time.
"No, not yet. You know he loves his sleep." she said giggling about the last part.
"Yeah, kid thinks he's Sleeping Beauty or some shit. In that case I'll give you two some time to talk to each other." I said getting up and heading to my room.
"You can stay here, we don't mind." Madi said, making me stop in my tracks.
"Nah, I'm fine." I said, barely turning to look at her as I kept walking down the stairs.
When I got to my room, I shut the door and plopped down on my bed. Something is definitely going on with this girl and I'll have to be careful around her. Why? I don't know yet. But I know I don't like how it's making me feel.
Amelia's POV
"So, what do you think about the boys?" I asked Madi.
"Oh I love them! They're really funny and really nice." she replied, making me smile. I'm really happy she is getting along with my boyfriend and best friends.
"I'm glad you feel that way. And im so happy that I'm not the only girl in the group anymore." I said with a laugh.
"Were you always like a mother taking care of her kids?" she asked me, making me laugh even harder.
"Oh my god, YES! These boys act like they are 6 year olds, I swear." I told her, now making her laugh too.
We kept talking that day, the guys only joining in when they wanted to ask us something. But overall, they gave us space to reconnect with each other, which we both appreciated.
Later that day, we decided to walk back home so we could talk more without tiring out Matt with our chitter chatter.
For the next few days, Madi and I hung out with the triplets almost every day, which only brought them closer. I liked how close she was with Matt, cause these two are the most important people in my life, but Nick is the one she got along with instantly. They were literally the same person in opposite genders.
Asking her to move in with me was the best decision. First of all, she is finally back from New York. Then, she is getting along with my best friends and boyfriend. She is also really organised and doesn't leave a mess in the house, cleaning if it's ever needed. She says it's because I shouldn't have to do all the chores, which I actually appreciate. We really are equals to one another and I think that's what kept out friendship real and healthy. I'm there for her, she's there for me. I encourage her and tell her if I think an idea is bad, she does the same for me. It's always Madi and Millie, never just Madi or just Millie. And it's always been like that
"Hey, what are you up to tomorrow?" I asked her, walking into her room.
"Do you ever knock?" she asked me.
"When have I ever knocked on your door before walking in?" I asked her. She raised her eyebrows but in the end she smiled.
"Good point. I'm going out to grab coffee and donuts for me and Nick and then I'm heading over to their place." Madi told me while she was doing her skincare routine for the night.
"Okay babe, just call me if you need anything, okay?" I said to her as she turned around.
"Okay mom." she joked, making us giggle. "I'm kidding, but I'll call if anything happens." she then continued while she got in bed, putting her phone on her nightstand to charge overnight.
"Okay, good night Mads." I told her, shutting off her light.
"Good night Mills." she replied as I closed her door and walked to my own room.
