"Oh!" i exclaimed, quickly looking up. "Wait... you're the man from the bakery!"the man's cold, sharp eyes met mines, his expression completely unaffected by the sudden encounter. He didn't speak, but that didn't stop me from continuing.

"I remember you! You were in front of me that day, looking all serious, like the pastries did something to offend you," i said with a laugh, my smile brightening my face.

"I wanted to tell you to try the baklavas! They're amazing, but you seemed like you were in a rush or something. Do you not like sweets? Because I can recommend—"

Before i could finish, a voice from down the hall interrupted.

"Well, it seems the two of you have already met," my father said, stepping forward with a smirk, a woman by his side.

my smile faltered slightly as i turned to look at my father. "What do you mean, father?" i asked, though i had a feeling that i already knew the answer.

the man turned his gaze to my father, his expression darkening slightly. "Yes, explain," he said, his tone cold but calm.

My father's eyes glinted with satisfaction. "Luciano De Luca," he said, gesturing toward the man i had just been talking to, "meet your future wife, Rosaline Vito Santiago."

my eyes widened in surprise. "Wait... him?" i asked, turning back to Luciano, though there was no fear or hesitation in my voice, only shock and amusement. "You're my fiancé?"

Luciano's eyes narrowed slightly, as if weighing the situation.

"I see," he muttered, the realization settling in. My father chuckled, clearly enjoying the moment. "Yes, Rosaline. Luciano De Luca, head of the De Luca family. Your future husband."
