Harley Diaz was in the middle of another chaotic day at the Diaz household. With her large family always bustling around, it was easy to hide her secret relationship with Aiden Peters. They had decided to keep it under wraps for now, pretending to be at odds whenever anyone was around.Harley is sitting on the couch, working on one of her inventions. Aiden walks in, looking for something.Aiden: (loudly) "Hey, Diaz! Have you seen my notebook? I know you like to mess with my stuff."Harley: (rolling her eyes) "Why would I touch your notebook, Peters? I have better things to do."Georgie, Harley's sister, walks by and raises an eyebrow at their exchange.Georgie: "You two are always at each other's throats. Can't you just get along for once?"Harley: (sighing) "Not likely."Georgie shakes her head and leaves the room. Once she's gone, Aiden sits next to Harley, lowering his voice.Aiden: (softly) "You know, you could have just told me where it was."Harley: (smirking) "And ruin our perfect cover? Always bickering."Once Ethan is out of earshot, Aiden leans closer to Harley.Aiden: (whispering) "Meet me at the park after school?"Harley: (nodding) "I'll be there."Harley and Aiden sit on a bench, finally able to drop their act. They hold hands, enjoying the rare moment of peace.Aiden: "Sometimes I wish we didn't have to pretend."Harley: "Me too. But it's kind of fun, isn't it? Sneaking around, keeping it just between us."Aiden: (smiling) "Yeah, it is. But I can't wait for the day we don't have to hide anymore."Harley: (leaning her head on his shoulder) "Me neither."They sit in comfortable silence, knowing that for now, their secret was safe.
