Days later...

"Bye~" Jennie stood outside the highrise building, waving at the car parked right in front of the driveway. "See you later~"

"Bye-bye ~" Jevin waved back to his mother, staring at her through the backseat window. Beside him were his grandparents, smiling back at Jennie as the vehicle drove away slowly.

Lisa's parents asked to take Jevin with them before school starts next week. It had been months since Jevin got to bond with his grandparents and thus, he also wanted to spend some time with them. Since Jevin was fine with it, Jennie didn't mind, especially Lisa, since he got his wife all for himself for the next few days.

A deep sigh came out from Jennie, staring at the back of the vehicle.

"I miss him already," she mumbled, smiling subtly. "I hope they have fun."

Ever since meeting her in-laws six months ago, they would visit her once every two weeks. Thus, her relationship with them, especially with her mother-in-law, grew better. Chittip Manoban was cautious around Jennie, though, fearing she might offend her. The reason there was still this slight distance between Jennie and her parent-in-law.

"Young Madam."

Jennie snapped her eyes ever so tenderly, glancing over her shoulders when Bear's voice caressed her ears. By the tone of his voice, she could tell he was about to say or raise an important concern.

"It's about Tiger," he said under his breath. "I've been trying to tell you about him, but I couldn't find the right timing."

"What about him?" Jennie didn't turn around to face him, keeping her eyes on the slow-moving vehicle from the distance. "Keep it short."

"He saw those paper targets."

Her right brow slowly arched, folding her arms under her chest.

"You know him, Boss. He will never miss such precision, unlike other people." Bear pressed his lips, making his jaw tighten. "He's growing suspicious. I'm sure you already noticed how he's been looking at you from the distance."

"Let him distract himself." Jennie drew a deep breath, turning on her heel to face him. The air around her was calm, but her eyes were mildly sharp. "After all, I'm reconsidering, Bear."

"Reconsidering?" Deep lines appeared between his brows. "You... want to tell him?"

"I haven't decided yet. Let's talk on the way." Jennie didn't idle, taking steps toward him without pausing as she walked past him. Bear nodded, following a step behind her.

"Ever since that incident with Jung Lea, I've noticed that Tiger has been acting very strange," she resumed, her voice only audible to Bear and herself. "I tried to ignore it, but the more I observe him, the more I feel concerned."

"I've noticed as well... Mark also noticed — Princess as well. They've told me."

"We all worked with him for a long time, so that's given that those around him would notice how he seems to go back to his old ways." Jennie stopped in front of the lift while Bear pressed a number before standing behind her. "Back then, I can be lenient to him since I understood he is different. However, I will kill him if he does something that could harm my family."

Bear lowered his head. "Should I deal with him now? I am the one who took him in, after all."

"The worst that he can do is betray my husband, Bear." Jennie slowly lifted her gaze to the numbers above the elevator door. "Keeping him around is better. You can watch him if he's close."

DING!

She didn't idle as she stepped foot in the lift. Following behind her was Bear. this time, she was the one who pressed the floor button of the penthouse while Bear stood on the side. A moment of silence befell their shoulders, watching the door slowly shut closed. As soon as it did, Bear's voice echoed in the small enclosed space.

"So, what's your plan right now?" he asked out of pure curiosity. "We can't let this prolong, considering he does all the crazy stuff to give himself enlightenment."

Jennie's lips were drawn into a thin line, pondering about her next move. What Bear said was true. Tiger disliked having questions in his mind. Therefore, the man would usually find ways to get his answers, even if it meant doing the cruelest things a human could do.

"Lisa will come home early, he said," she broke her silence after a moment. "I'll talk to Tiger."

"Will you... tell him?"

This time, Jennie didn't answer. After all, she hadn't decided yet. However, talking to the man was what crossed her mind to buy herself some time. If not for Tiger's odd behavior, she wouldn't even consider telling him anything.

"Anyway, any news about the clown?" she asked, changing the topic after a moment of pause.

Adapting to the change of topic, Bear answered monotonously. "He's alive, according to Mark. Though I think he's still in danger."

"I see..." Jennie rocked her head in understanding. "I'm glad he's alive."

"I can't say the same thing."

"Obviously, knowing you left him hanging upside down, he'll kill you once he emerged from the grave he dug himself."

DING!

Another faint huff escaped her mouth as the elevator reached the penthouse floor. Jennie stepped out slowly, trudging through the hallway until they turned. As soon as she did, she caught a few bodyguards guarding the hallway.

Her countenance was plain and unchanging, not giving the bodyguards a glance. This time, however, Bear kept a three-step distance from behind her.

"I'll go back to my post," he muttered as they were almost at the entrance. But then Jennie suddenly stopped near the entrance, turning on her heel to face the bodyguard standing on the side.

Standing before her was the lazy Tiger, making the man's brows elevate. Not just him, but all the bodyguards in the area couldn't help but turn their attention to the young madam.

"What, young madam?" asked Tiger with his ever laziness with a tinge of cockiness in his voice. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Any progress on the errand I asked you to do?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.

"Ah..." Tiger scratched the back of his head. "Things are moving slowly, so I need some time."

The corner of her mouth curled up into a quick smile. "If you do a good and brought satisfactory result, I'll answer whatever question is in your mind." and then she turned around to leave.

"..." Bear watched Jennie enter the penthouse with a straight face. 'Is that what she meant when she said she'll talk to him? I guess she hadn't reconsidered enough.'
