JUNGWON
I knew Jaeah was avoiding me. It was quite obvious since she kept leaving every room i entered and ran away when she did many realize sooner. I didn't take that as a sign to give up. I wasn't going to unnecessarily bother her but just catch her attention enough for her to give it up. Can you blame me though? I missed the Jaeah that used to always talk with me. Jaeah who was excited to see me. Strange thing was, she was only acting differently with me. She was the same with Jake and Yunjin and her parents. So what did I do that made her decide that I was leftover scraps to be disposed?
I was deliberately at her house at all times. Most times I even slept there. Jake was more than happy and Jaeah would be as conflicted as ever.
But it wasn't always in my favour. I had learnt that Jaeah was great at running away from her problem, aka me. She had also become more athletic as last time I showed up a rubber glove was launched at my face and I almost went into cardiac arrest. I hope she atleast enjoyed the cake.

"Wow don't you think it's a little late for you to arrive home young lady." Jake taunted, slapping the TV remote to his palms between his words. Jaeah rolled her eyes and ruffled her hair in annoyance. "It's 10 pm Jake." "Yunjins house isn't far." She spoke tiredness taking over her. I examined closely. For now, this was enough. Just seeing her, because I was unsure if she was alright these 2 years.
I stood up from the couch and squeezed Jake's shoulder. "I'm gonna head home." Jake frowned. "So soon?" I nodded to his displeasure. "I'll stay over tomorrow." I proposed to cheer him. "You better." He pointed at me and I laughed it off.
Getting out of the house, I stepped back to see Jaeah's room. The light was still on. I sighed, the sorrow inevitable. "Jae why won't you tell me what's wrong?" I murmured to myself. It's only been 3 days into my break and if I have to spend it like this, I don't think I'll survive. I stayed until she turned off her light. "Sweet dreams Jae."

The school winter break had started and luckily for me, Jaeah would be home most of the time now. I walked into the Sim residence at 8 o clock sharp and Jaeah was already out in the their garden, watering the flowers. "Jae!" I called her out experimenting if she'd answer me or not. To my pleasure, she waved. That was it. I haven't heard her mellow voice since I came back, my heart ached a bit and I wasn't sure why.
"Oh Jungwon you're here so early." Ms. Sim came up to him chuckling. "I was gonna send both of you to go get some groceries for lunch. But Jake wouldn't get up you know how he is." She disappointingly sighed. "You can take Jaeah with you, she's been saying how boring it is since Yunjin is busy preparing to work at the company."
