Jacob stood slightly off to the side of the bustling studio, his phone pressed to his ear. His cousin Zilla's incredulous voice crackled through the line, cutting through the vibrant chaos of the photoshoot.

He watched Reeva pose in front of the camera, her energy captivating everyone in the room. She wore a big white shirt that floated around her, and her bright green makeup made her look striking.

"So you telling me you left from Greenville, South Carolina, and went straight to New York because Reeva has a photoshoot there?" Zilla asked a hint of disbelief in his tone.

"Yup," Jacob replied, unable to suppress a grin.

"You're crazy, uce. You and this girl seem too attached. It's only been a week since y'all met. Is it the moose knuckle?" Zilla quipped, a playful edge in his voice.

Jacob chuckled, his heart racing slightly. "We've only kissed. And she's different. I can't explain it, but I know what I'm feeling is strong as hell."

"Please tell me you ain't in love already," Zilla teased, but there was an undercurrent of concern.

Jacob shook his head, laughing. "I ain't that far gone now."

As he spoke, he turned his gaze back to Reeva. She laughed with the photographer, and the warmth in her smile drew him in. When she had asked him to come to New York with her, he hadn't hesitated. Yes, he had kids back in Greenville to think about, but saying no to Reeva felt impossible. There was something about her that wrapped around him like a warm blanket, making it hard to resist her pull.

"Maybe this is why her dad doesn't want her dating. She just has some effect on people," Zilla said, half-joking.

"Uce, you stupid," Jacob replied, rolling his eyes, even as he pondered the truth in Zilla's words.

Just then, Reeva walked off the set, her eyes sparkling as she approached him. "You wanna be my prop for the day?" she asked, her excitement contagious.

"What you tryna have me do?" Jacob replied, curious.

"All you have to do is sit in the chair while I do a variety of poses on you. It'll be fun!" she said, grinning.

"Okay. Let's do this," he said, a smile breaking through as he focused on her.

"If you're uncomfortable with your face showing; I'll make sure to block it," she assured him with a playful wink.

He ended the call with Zilla and followed Reeva back onto the set. Sitting down in the chair, he felt a mix of excitement and nerves as she climbed onto his lap. The intimacy of the moment caught him off guard, and for a moment, he forgot they were surrounded by a crew.
