"Ivan, it's been a long time since we last met," Pavel greeted his eldest nephew.

"Hello, Uncle Pavel, Aunt Raiza," Ivan greeted his uncle and aunt. The two of them hugged Ivan and then greeted his mother.

"Our father called to invite Pavel over for dinner, and coincidentally, Danil will be there too," Anna said with a smile.

"That kid is going to be there? I thought he was out playing somewhere and wouldn't come home," Raiza said before receiving a cold glare from Ivan. Pavel nudged his wife. Raiza hesitated a bit when she saw Ivan looking at

her with a calm expression.

"I'm just worried about my nephew, Anna, and about Ivan too. It would be good if Danil helped out a bit," Raiza added.

"Let's go inside the house first,"

Ivan said to his mother and led the way inside. His mother followed him in.

"If you don't want to be kicked out of this house, maybe you should keep your mouth shut," Pavel scolded his wife, then immediately walked towards Anna, leaving his wife standing there fuming. After a while, Raiza followed them in. When Ivan walked into the living room, he saw Danil sitting on a single sofa, playing with his phone, while his father was reading a book on the long sofa. As soon as

Danil heard footsteps, he looked up. Danil met Ivan's gaze and shot him a look of resentment. Ivan chose to ignore it and walked over to greet his father.

"Don't you want to say hello to me?" Danil asked.

"Hmm," Ivan nodded at Danil, which made Danil pout in

annoyance. But before he could say anything else, he had to stop when he saw his uncle and aunt walking in.

"Danil, my beloved nephew, it's been a long time since we last met! Why haven't you come to visit me? Huh?" Pavel walked in and immediately hugged Danil. Danil hugged him back out of courtesy; he still respected and loved Pavel. However, he didn't like Raiza, his aunt. When Raiza saw Danil, she made a face and looked down on him, but Danil didn't care. In reality, Danil had many things he wanted to talk about with Ivan, but he never got the chance. When it was time for dinner, they went to the dining room. Anna walked arm in arm with Danil. Ivan's father sat at the head of the table, with Pavel on his right and Raiza next to him. On the left side were Ivan, Danil, and Anna, who made sure her two children sat close to their father.

"Today, we have your favourite dish, Danil. Make sure to eat a lot," Anna said. Danil smiled in response and looked at Ivan, who was sitting next to him. Ivan hardly turned to look at Danil, as he was talking to his father and uncle intermittently.

"Ivan, have you been on any dates lately?" Raiza asked, causing Danil to pause a bit and turn to look at Ivan sitting next to him.

"I'm busy with work. I don't have time for that," Ivan replied in a normal tone.

"How can that be? At your age, you should be looking at someone already. Or if you don't have anyone interesting yet, would you like me to recommend someone?" Raiza suggested, as she wanted her best friend's daughter to be linked with Ivan.

"Aunt Raiza, you really care a lot about your nephew's personal life. Even my parents have never brought this up. I'm truly touched," Danil said with a sarcastic tone, causing Raiza to pause slightly before looking at Danil with displeasure, knowing he was making a jab at her.

"Don't meddle in your nephew's affairs. Ivan is grown up; he can handle his own matters," Pavel said, not wanting his wife to interfere with his brother's family. as Danil had mentioned. Even Ivan's parents had never nagged him about this.
