CHAPTER - 10

"Do as you wish. I forgot to consider that you might feel uncomfortable." Roman, who knew how to lighten the mood, spoke, making Keith feel a little better.

"Keith can go with Danil, Ivan. Don't worry. Keith knows very well what's what." Roman spoke as if he was giving a subtle warning to Keith, who got the message.

"Don't get into trouble, Danil." Ivan warned once more, causing Danil to press his lips together slightly as he looked at his brother with a hint of resentment.

"Shall we hurry? I need to earn some money to pay for the drinks." Keith said to Danil.

"Sure. Excuse me." Danil replied to Roman and his brother before walking towards the exit of the party room with Keith.

"You will send your men

or mine to follow them?" Ivan asked as the two left. Even though Leaf had gone along, Ivan was still not at ease.

"Mine." Roman replied before turning and waving to one of his subordinates who was

nearby. He immediately understood what he needed to do.

"This kid named Keith, how trustworthy is he?" Ivan asked. For someone to get close to them or be accepted into their circle, it was essential that that person be completely

reliable.

"I don't know." Roman replied casually.

"What do you mean, you don't know? Then how could you allow him to be so close to you?" Ivan asked suspiciously.

"I'm still investigating." Roman replied with

naturally, leaving Ivan even more surprised. Then Roman began to briefly tell what he had discovered about Keith through his investigations.

"Keith's stepfather is no ordinary person. Are you sure he's not here to spy on you and pass information to his stepfather?" Ivan continued to question, surprised by his friend's unusual interest,

who had never paid attention to anyone like he was doing with Keith.

"I don't think that's the case. In fact, he didn't even want to board my ship. I convinced him... with a little persuasion." Roman admitted frankly, leaving Ivan even more perplexed.

"Okay, do as you wish. If you need any help, just let me know." Ivan replied, resigned, while mentally rooting for Keith. Did you know that,

If Roman was so interested in him, it was unlikely that Roman would let him go easily.

"Why did you come with Roman?" asked Danil as the two headed towards the casino room.

"He invited me." Keith replied shortly.

Danil smiled slightly before placing his hand on Keith's chest, sliding his fingers gently. Keith stood still, just watching.

"How about coming to my room for a drink tonight?" Danil suggested, to which Keith responded with a slight smile.

"No, thank you. I know very well what is and isn't appropriate to consume." Keith said without paying much attention, causing Danil's smile to disappear immediately. He crossed his arms and gave Keith an angry look.

"Are you saying I'm not 'appetizing' enough for you?" Danil asked in a sly voice, and Keith just let out a light laugh.

"Mr. Danil, I know you're just joking by inviting me. If I accepted, I would certainly find another excuse to avoid it. Besides, I'd rather not get involved with the younger brother of someone so powerful. I still like to live." Keith spoke in a relaxed tone, showing no fear. Danil smiled again.
