Dylan was immediately surprised to hear Danil mention his real mother's name and family.
"Davyidov, is that it?" Dylan asked, shocked by what he had just heard.
"Are you saying you're Aunt Rada's son?" Dylan asked back. His mind was dazed and confused.
"Yes, actually, I only recently learned that I have Davyidov blood running through my veins," Danil said with a hint of sarcasm.
"I don't want to generalize about what this blood means, because, anyway, my mother, Rada, is a Davyidov," Danil continued. Dylan looked at Danil's face before raising both hands and passing them over his own face, still dazed.
"So, that means you're my younger cousin, your first cousin, right?" Dylan asked back, looking for reassurance.
"It's not that I want to be, but I can't escape this reality." Danil spoke in a disdainful tone.
"What's going on here? And Aunt Rada, where is she? Dad and Uncle Ramil said Aunt Rada was missing," Dylan asked back. His throat was dry with the truth I was beginning to realize.
"Missing, where? It was your father and uncle who caused the death of my real parents." Danil replied firmly, before telling the whole story that Dema had told him, making Dylan even more surprised.
"Don't you think the Balenkovs might be lying?" Dylan asked, his expression suspicious.
"Have you ever thought about it? Think about it, between the Balenkovs and the Davyidovs, who do you think is more trustworthy? Or do you trust your father and uncle?" Danil asked back, slightly teasing.
"You're talking like you don't know what your father and uncle are like." Danil retorted. He knew very well how much Dylan had fallen out with his father and uncle and how much he had never trusted either of them. Dylan, in turn, believed Danil's words.
"I... almost... would... have... with my younger cousin?" Dylan muttered to himself.
"Yes, exactly. I'm glad you realized in time who you really love," Danil said with a smile. Dylan sighed softly. On top of having to understand his family's situation, he now also had to deal with this big revelation.
"So, in the end, my father and my uncle Ramil still don't know about you, right?" Dylan asked, reinforcing the doubt.
"They don't know yet. And I hope you don't tell them that," Danil replied, in a serious voice.
"I won't tell. As long as you can't keep the situation under control." Dylan replied, equally serious. This made Danil smile with satisfaction, happy that his plan had worked. He realized that if Dylan knew the truth, he wouldn't tell his father and uncle.
"And what are you going to do now? Are you going to leave everything as it is?" Dylan asked again.
"You're talking about the fact that I'm Rada's son, right?" Danil asked back. Dylan nodded.
"Well, I won't do anything. I'll just continue living normally. Besides, knowing the truth about this ends up being good for me in some way." Danil said with a smile.
"What do you mean?" asked Dylan, still confused.
"This allows me to be with Ivan without any problems." said Danil, wanting to share
this information with Dylan, believing he wouldn't tell anyone.
"What? You and Ivan?" Dylan asked, surprised.
"Yes, we both love each other. When we found out that we don't share the same blood, everything became easier." Danil replied calmly. Dylan frowned immediately.
