December might have been the last month of the year, but for the residents of Genoa City the drama didn't stop. In fact, it only seemed to be heating up. True to her word Tara Locke had been a thorn in the side of Summer and Kyle Abbott. She was not going to rest until the Abbotts had paid and she had her son back. Her wrath wasn't limited to the obnoxious couple though, all of Genoa City suffered.

The members of the Newman Enterprises Board of Directors were sitting down for their monthly meeting when the door to the conference room burst open. Tara sauntered into the room soaking in the stunned expressions of the board members.

"What are you doing here?" Nick asked standing up from the table.

Adam agreed with his brother. "You have absolutely no business here Tara, go home."

Tara smirked. "I'm here to fill Ashland's seat. He left it to me in his will."

Adam stood up at that statement. "I call bullshit. There's no way in hell Locke would leave his seat to you. And even if he did, you know nothing about business it's a waste of a seat."

Well, that was harsh Adam and hypocritical. Your little baby mama ran her business into the ground and you gave her another company to ruin." Tara smugly threw out. "Even she knew she was useless, so she bolted before the damage could fully be done. Now let's get this meeting started." She sat down in the chair that normally reserved for Victor. There was a loud gasp from the other members. Nick had to force Adam to sit back down. "What? There isn't anyone's name on this chair." Tara was taking full advantage of being the acting widow Locke.

Kyle was getting ready to meet Summer for lunch. Just as he was about to leave his office Tara came charging in. "Tara." He said exhausted. "Why are you here?" He could feel the fight coming and he was already tired.

"To serve you." Tara smirked, shoving custody papers into his hands. "I'm tired of playing nice. I want my son back. I'm getting sole custody."

"Tara, this isn't about you. This is about what's best for Harrison."

"I am thinking about what's best for Harrison. And what's best for Harrison is to be with his mother not his father's current wife pretending to be his mother."

"Summer loves Harrison like he was her own."

"Like being the key word there. He's not hers, he'll never be hers." Tara snarled. "I'm out of here. I'll see you in court. Without your whore wife." She slammed his office door.

Kyle sank back down into his office chair running his hands through his hair. This was the last thing he needed. Summer was pregnant, she didn't need to be going through a custody trial in her condition. Speaking of his wife, the young Abbott knew that she would be pissed when she found this out.

Summer could sense the nervousness radiating off her husband from the moment he entered Society. Obviously, something had gone wrong at work; she assumed it had to do with Billy. Her husband's uncle was always causing problems.

"Hey," Kyle greeted his wife leaning down to kiss her before sitting at the table.

"Hi." Summer returned the greetings. "What's going on? I can tell you're nervous."

Kyle swallowed; Tara's custody petition felt heavy in his suit jacket pocket. Wordlessly, he took the court document out and slide it across the table. Curious, Summer picked up the document and started to read. Kyle watched the fury grow on his wife's face the more she read. He jumped when she slammed the papers on the table.

"How dare she?" Summer raged. "She thinks she can take our son? We're going to fight her. She'll get sole custody over my dead body." She stood up from the table and stormed to go confront Tara.
