Chapter 3 - The Mysterious Staircase.

I only have two classes today, but they're pretty far away from each other. I have a five hour pause between it, I'm at it right now, it's been 20 minutes. I have nothing to do, and I'm curious. I'm sure everyone would have done the same thing as I am going to do. I'm going down those fucking stairs.

Opened the door again, still the same staircase. I'm trying to comfort myself while going down, saying to myself it's probably just a place where she buys illegal stuff, a parking lot or something like that, maybe she was looking for a basketball in some sort of basement of the school.. My thinking had to stop when I saw what was down here, a wonderful library, how everything is destroyed here except a library, it's well lighted and pretty.

I looked at the books, most of them aren't stories, it's studies books, but that's obviously sci-fi or something.. ''how to cure a curse'' ''make a new body'' ''changing form'' those are some kinds of nerdy black sorcery books, which isn't bad or anything, just it's weird to have a whole library with those in a catholic school as mine. I was still looking at the books, not listening to the ambient surroundings

''HEY!?'' a familiar voice? ''What are you doing here!!?''

Frye was there. Looking at me in confusion, I was as confused as her.

''... How did you found this place.'' She asked me

''I.. followed you yes-''

''YOU FOLLOW ME?.'' she said, interrupting me.

''Yesterday, you forgot your pen, two days ago you went to me to give my notebook back so I thought I would do the same to you to be fair'' I said, I was stressed by her reaction.

''That's.. understandable. But you shouldn't be here Astra.''

''What even is this place, why can't I be here but you can?''

''This is.. some kind of hideout for me..

Called it..

see, I study a bit here because it's uhm.. less noisy'' She was obviously lying.

''You know i'm not dumb huh.'' I felt so dumb saying that.

A bookshelf of the library opens;

''hey Fract-'' Someone was coming out of this library, but Frye slammed the door by keeping an eye contact with me

''Who was that?..'' I questioned

''who was who..'' Okay she's hiding something.

I stopped trying, tried to open that bookshelf as she was playing dumb on me. She kept closing it suddenly, we kept doing that for a good minute.. or more.

''Frye.'' I tried saying that with a cold heart, while I'm just terrified.

She took a deep breath, ''See Astra... uhm'' she stopped talking and opened the bookshelf that was behind her, I went in, and saw some kind of laboratory, this was unexpected to be honest, no one could have guessed..

''You don't talk about this to ANYONE, clear?'' she takes my arm while saying these words to me

''Don't worry, I'm not the kind of person to talk to anyone''

''Not even your parents''

I stayed silent for awhile, I don't really talk to my parents anymore, it's complicated but I'll tell her that another time.

''Understood, but what is all that'' as I retake my tongue

''See this is this universe portal room'' a weird robotic voice says those words, the same voice I heard in the library, I turn my head to the left to see a robot.

''I'm Wyxe, This portal room special gatekeeper!!''

... I really wasn't expecting all that today. But when this happened, we heard a bell in the distance, me and Frye looked at each other and started running to class.
