With their bags slung over their shoulders, Frye led Astra through the library, her heart racing with anticipation and a touch of fear. Wyxe's robotic voice filled the air, guiding them toward the portal room.
"Are you ready?" Frye asked, stopping in front of a shimmering archway filled with swirling colors. The sight was mesmerizing, and Astra could feel a pull toward the unknown.
"More than ready," Astra replied, trying to mask the butterflies in her stomach. She glanced at Frye, who was taking a deep breath, as if preparing herself for what lay ahead.
"Just remember, once we step through, there's no turning back," Frye warned, her tone serious. "You might feel disoriented, and the world we enter could be vastly different from what we know."
Astra nodded, steeling herself for the leap into the unknown. "Got it. Just hold my hand," she said, and Frye obliged, their fingers intertwining as they stood before the vibrant portal.
As they stepped closer, the air crackled with energy, and Astra could feel the warmth radiating from the swirling colors. It was exhilarating and terrifying all at once. She took a moment to breathe in the reality of the moment, knowing that everything she had ever known was about to change.
"Together?" Astra asked, looking into Frye's eyes, searching for reassurance.
"Together," Frye affirmed, a fierce determination in her gaze. With one final glance at the familiar surroundings, they took the plunge into the portal, the world around them dissolving into a kaleidoscope of light and sound.
