Chapter 10: FINALLY!?!? (Willow)

“Trying to scare us?”

We had been riding for three hours by now. We reached a city and Hermes jumped right off my horse like he knew too much. I already hated this guy, he never helped with the attitude he gave anyways.

“What? Are we near home or…” I saw a sign that said some sort of- I dunno? It wasn’t English or French so I had no clue. “What’s it say?” I asked him, even if I hated him a ton I was still curious.

“Here lies Egyptian grounds, don’t trespass unless you’d want to parish.” He read off what it said, I stifled a laugh since it was somewhat humorous to see threats. After everything I've been through, a threat? Scare me? Hah.

“They're pathetic for trying to scare us.” Me and Lillith said back at the same time. I looked at her and we both smiled like kids.

“We're friends now.” She said with a smirk as I nodded back.

“Definitely friends now.” We were acting like thirteen year olds. Did I hate it? Absolutely not. I loved this and she was about 19 so really close to my age.

“Well we got him close enough to home…” Mari explained quietly as she got off Dustbuddie. I drew my sword this time as I saw a single soldier coming towards us.

“Who goes there?” He asked, any typical soldier would say it. Right, he was ‘special’ right?

“We're from Nighal. We are escorting this Greek out of our home country.” I explained, a white lie won't hurt this guy, right?

“What general are you under.” He said back. Shoot. I wasn't under a general yet. I was only a traveler, I hadn't joined the group to help me kill axel yet.

“Uhhhhhhh, guard of the king.” I Said back as I lied through my teeth. I was fine, he didn't need to know. To my surprise he believed it too.

“Fine, works with me, I will carry this escort out and finish him to Greece.” He explained as I nodded.

“Well don't get to rough, I'm still a go-” Hermes got dragged past the boarder and into Egypt. I got rid of him!!

“I'll take him to Greece.” He muttered as he dragged Hermes, it was funny to see a god get dragged and degraded.

“We did it!!” We all shouted as they were out of earshot. We rode back with pure peace and quiet as we got to Salven. Nobody was going to lie, Hermes was very. Very. VERY annoying! Though now that I didn't hate him as much, I kinda missed him.

“What now? We need to get to Skarika and I don't want to bore you and your girlfriend with becoming Aces and all-” I started but Lilith cut me off.

“We would love, and like die to be Aces!! We literally get that cool pin that say we're unable to be messed with and you better watch out!” She seemed more excited than I thought she would from the idea.

“Alright, well how about we rest up then try to head out in the morning?” Mari asked as we agreed upon it.

We got our horses back into the stables. Lillith and Patrica led us through the town. It was actually pretty peaceful although the town was over the underworld… We found a different inn and stayed there. I didn't want to eat that night. Flashbacks hitting worse tonight than other nights. It shouldn't be this bad! It was never this bad…

“Willow?!” Mari finally shouted at me. I guess I was overthinking again.

“Huh? What?” I asked her as I came back to reality.

“You want to stay with me or love birds?” Savie asked.

“You and Mari, no offense but a couple deserves privacy.” I said back as we went into the rooms for the night.

Now I laid down and dozed off easily.

That's when I woke up. But I wasn't awake was I? Where was the room? Mari and Savie? I bolted out of bed, running to see what was happening. I saw my mother. She was calm. I walked up to her, but I was watching it like a show.

“Mama?” Little me asked her.

She always replied back with the ionic line “Yes my little love?”

“When is dad gonna come home so we can give him the cake??” My heart broke. I knew this dream, why me? Why this dream?!

“Soon my little love, he'll be back for his birthday…” She said back. I felt like I was crying now, I knew this was all fake.

This is how the next few minutes in this dream go. I went to my room to play around in my little kingdom castle, I was the only child of  Lian and Madison Blackblade. It was always told like that. That's when we heard yelling. At first we thought it was some small fight so we stayed inside until we heard ‘Axel is coming!!’ and ‘run!!’ we got out the house. Well. I got out of the house.

I was running for my life. I jumped into a bush and stayed there. I was Nine. I was scared. I was crying. I wanted to scream. I couldn't scream. If I screamed I would die. What did I do? I cowered and ran. I had the sword my father gave me, a small bag that had food my mother and I were going to use for a picnic later.

Everything was burning, I saw my friends, family and people I didn't even know hurt from the fire. Once it all calmed down it was a blur of blood, pure red blood and pain. Burnt houses everywhere the eye could see. Dead bodies too. I wanted to scream as loud as I could. I was screaming now.

Thats when I saw my best friend. I ran to him “m-mason!!” I shouted as I hugged him tightly but I felt a warm liquid coming from his shirt. I looked down and he had an arrow through his gut. He was cold. Badly cold.

“N-no Mason, please…” I quietly begged. “Don't leave me Mason!!” I was crying as he fell to the ground, I held him while he died. I broke. That's when I woke up.

So I have been over working some chapters and I'm not sorry for it! These are going to be around 1,500 to 3,000 I hope. So here's to the last of the real ones that'll be around this long! The plots get longer and better and the story might need one or two sequels! Geeze this is a lot for just chapter 10. Please tell me if I should do a really long (probably 100 or 150 chapter story) or two to three books on it? Shower, have a good night/day, eat some good food and have a good time until I see you again pookies!
