"Don't call me Lilly." I muttered to my boss, it was probably only 8:30 in the morning. I hated him though, Jacob sucked. I was waiting for someone, anyone to come in so I could ask if I could leave with them since I was ready to quit this job. And don't try and tell me 'Hate is a strong word' there's a reason I used it.
"Fine, Lillith. Why are you trying to walk out again huh? You've been working here since you were 15. It makes sense you stay a little longer ehh?" He was trying to reason with me. God did I hate when he tried to reason with me.
"I'm leaving this dumb job, I've had it for five years now, you're not paying me enough so I'm done." I said right back, I wasn't dealing with this crap anymore. "And until you can get that through your thick skull that paying women isn't illegal I'm leaving."
"And your working with whom?" He started.
That was when I walked out of his inn. I almost forgot about the two brunette girls, the dirty blonde adult and the light brown haired boy. That's when I decided to walk to the stables.
"Hey? Lillith right?" It was the once brunette with a messy braid, I think her name was Willow?
"Yeah, that's me. You're uhh, Willow right?" I asked her. She nodded, I was glad to see someone I knew who wasn't a jerk. I sighed as I got to my white horse Casper. I untied his saddle from the stall.
"Yep, I'm Willow. You worked at that inn right?" She asked me, at least she got the 'worked' part right. I nodded slowly then sighed. I was sick and tired of people being rude and annoying.
"Yeah, I quit today though." I told her with a slight annoyance and overall being tired in my tone.
"I don't blame ya, that boss seemed like a jerk." The tall dirty blonde said, his name was Hermes or something.
"We're on a small mission today to get this guy home, wanna join us?" Willow asked me. I thought it over for a moment. Now this could change my life in one of two ways. I could either make great friends and get to have great quests. Or I hate them and get stuck with them.
"Sure? I guess I can help you all." I told her as I got on Casper Stump, don't ask about the last name I gave him. You don't want to know. And no, it wasn't just a phase. I love the music my soon to be wife makes.
"So it's a yes?" The younger brunette asked, her name was Mari. Right? I mean I'm not the greatest with names but I'd only assume. I'm not that bad with memory. I mean I remembered me and my girlfriend's anniversary of three years so...
"Yeah, I just need to leave a note for someone." I said back as I scribbled a note to Patricia Stump, my girlfriend.
It read. "Hey, just letting you know that I'm leaving town for a bit. I'll be back soon I hope and I'll see you when I'm back, just make sure my fishie doesn't die while I'm gone. - <3 Lillith soon to be Stump."
"Alright, I need to deliver this and we'll leave, m'kay?" I asked them but ran off before they could answer. I quickly set it in her mailbox and then hopped back on Casper. Also I gave my horse my girlfriend's last name. Yep. By choice too. I just love her last name and her... Shoot, uh. What was I doing? Uhhnhhhnn. "We didn't start the fire" I mumbled as I remembered I needed to help Willow! I got Casper moving and I got back to the stables.
"Sorry if I took too long." I apologized but didn't really mean it.
"You're fine, ready to head out? Well actually do you know the fastest way to Greece?" Willow asked. Mari nodded and butted in.
"We need to get that guy home." She pointed to the dirty blonde guy that tried flirting with me.
"Right, uhm..." I started, I literally didn't even know where Greece was in the map. I handed Willow a map of the world and it had a circle on Salven.
"Right, I get where we are. Thanks!" Willow said back, I was lucky since I didn't know where we were headed. That's when we rode off though.
