The frantic call from Jenna she received, meant Lia had to leave New York in the middle of the night. She had hoped to find Isobel before she left, it seemed her egg doner had other plans. Her phone call to John only ended up pissing her off, he was the reason Isobel was in Mystic Falls. Jenna had let her know she was fleeing to campus, for her safety.
When Lia arrived home, John was waiting for her. He could tell she was pissed. Storming into the house, she waited for him to shut the door. "Why, why would you bring her here? I had a plan to find her a question her! John, she's a heartless bitch who doesn't care about anyone but herself! She never wanted to be a mother, she definitely doesn't care about us now!"
John looked surprised by her rant, "She promised to help Elena."
"Of course she did, right until she helps her into Klaus' arms! Do you honestly believe what you're saying?" Lia was heated. Before John could reply, a knock sounded, "Please tell me that's not her."
"I wanted her to speak with Elena. Isobel knows about Klaus and is willing to tell us what she knows." He said as he moved to answer the door.
"Do not invite her in!" She growled but he must be deaf. As they walked back towards her, Lia hoped her glare would burst the woman into flames.
"Emilia, you are very lucky you aren't the doppelganger. I hope you'll give me the chance to help Elena." Isobel said to her.
Lia glared, "If you plan to betray Elena, I'll make Klaus look like the Easter Bunny. I will stake your heartless chest myself."
John froze, he had never heard Lia speak like that. It seemed her twin hadn't either. Elena and Stefan froze on the stairs and watched Lia with caution.
As Isobel and John spoke to Elena and Stefan, Lia continued to glare. She didn't trust the vampire, luckily Elena seemed smart enough not to either. When Isobel finally left, Lia glared at John one more time before going to her room, she needed to call Jenna.

Thankfully, Mason had left town for a bit, so she wouldn't have to worry about his safety. Katherines stubbornly decided to stay. So far, she had been lucky and hadn't been killed but she wouldn't listen to Lia who kept telling her to hide. No one besides Lia seemed to care what happened to Katherine.
Lia unfortunately had to go with Elena to accept the check for their mom's charity. She was shocked when her twin didn't ignore her presence, she then began to worry when Elena actually spoke to her.
"Have you talked to Jenna?" Elena asked, almost acting like she hadn't ignored her twin for months.
Lia nodded, "I did." She wasn't going to share what they had talked about.
"I'm worried about her." Elena told her.
"You should be. I mean, you did leave her in the dark about the danger that's lurking around, that you invited into the house."
Elena and Stefan both looked to her with wide eyes but couldn't say more because they were called forward. Lia knew how to put on a show, so she did. Just as Elena started to give the thank you speech, John's body came flying down the stairs.
Lia watched as everyone ran to check on him, but she was stopped from joining by Isobel.
"Elena will be fine, Katherine wanted to take you with her, but I can't allow that." She looked behind Lia and nodded. Before Lia could run, her head went fuzzy and then dark.

Lia could tell she was in a car, she was really getting sick of this happening. Opening her eyes, she noticed Elena was beside her and Isobel was driving the vehicle. When she caught Isobel's eyes in the mirror, Lia asked, "Why? I told you what I would do."
