I woke up feeling sick and nauseous after the kegger party on the beach last night.
This morning, I woke up alone, as I remembered that John B was out fishing with JJ, and Pope was at his house studying. Kie was the only one around, and I decided to confide in her about how I was feeling.
"Hey Kie, do you think you could pick up a pregnancy test for me? I just want to make sure everything's okay," I asked tentatively.
Kie's eyes widened in surprise, but she quickly nodded in understanding. "Of course, Y/N. I'll be back soon," she said reassuringly.
As I waited anxiously for Kie to return, my mind raced with thoughts of what the test might reveal. I was only 17, and the idea of being pregnant at such a young age terrified me. I couldn't bear the thought of disappointing John B or causing more stress in our already chaotic lives.
When Kie finally came back, I took the test and waited anxiously for the results. As the two lines appeared on the test, indicating that I was indeed pregnant, tears welled up in my eyes. I didn't know what to do or how to tell John B. I felt overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty.
Kie wrapped her arms around me, offering me comfort and support. "Everything will be okay, Y/N. We'll figure this out together," she said soothingly.
Just then, I heard John B and JJ returning from their fishing trip. I quickly hid the test behind my back, not wanting them to see it yet. But I could tell by the puzzled looks on their faces that they had noticed something was wrong.
"Y/N, Kie, what's going on? Why are you crying baby?" John B asked, concern evident in his voice.
I took a deep breath, trying to compose myself. "I...I took a pregnancy test, and it came out positive," I admitted, my voice shaking with emotion.
John B's eyes widened in shock, and JJ looked equally surprised. But before they could say anything, Kie stepped in, explaining the situation and offering her support.
"We're all here for you, Y/N. We'll figure this out together," Kie reassured me, her words giving me a glimmer of hope amidst the chaos.
John B wrapped his arms around me, his expression a mix of concern and determination. "We'll get through this, babe. I love you, and we'll figure out what to do next," he said, his voice steady and reassuring.
So, we all sat together to call Pope and tell him the news, and in 10 minutes he was at the door hugging me, as I was like a little sister to Pope and JJ. Now, we all had to figure out how to find the gold, and how to keep me and the baby safe. This would be one hell of an adventure.
