As Theo held my hand, guiding me along the edge of the abandoned swimming pool on my skateboard, I couldn't help but feel a rush of adrenaline. "You're doing great, babe, you're gonna be a pro at this soon" he said, his voice filled with pride as he watched me struggle to keep my balance.
I laughed nervously, trying to focus on the task at hand. Skateboarding was not my forte, but I was determined to learn, especially with Theo by my side. He was always patient and encouraging, pushing me to be the best version of myself.
Just as I was starting to get the hang of it, a chill ran down my spine. I glanced up to see the Dread Doctors standing at the entrance of the pool, their eerie masks sending shivers down my spine. Theo's grip tightened on my hand, his protective instincts kicking in.
"Stay back," Theo growled, stepping in front of me. "She's under my protection."
The Dread Doctors exchanged a glance before one of them spoke in their robotic voice. "No second chances."
I felt a sinking feeling in my stomach. As an omega wolf, I knew I was vulnerable, especially with the Dread Doctors targeting supernatural beings like us. But Theo, being a beta, was supposed to protect me. I trusted him with my life.
As the Dread Doctors moved closer, Theo braced himself, ready to defend me at all costs. But before they could make a move, a loud growl echoed through the abandoned pool, causing the Dread Doctors to pause.
A familiar figure emerged from the shadows, his red eyes glowing with power. "You heard her," a voice filled with authority rang out. "She is under my protection, as an alpha,"
Deucalion stepped forward, his presence commanding attention, I let our a sigh of relief when he appeared, as Deucalion was like a father figure to me, and he would always protect me. The Dread Doctors hesitated, sensing the alpha power radiating off of him. They exchanged a glance before deciding to retreat, disappearing into the darkness.
I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding, relief washing over me. Deucalion nodded in respect at us before turning to leave into the shadows. Theo turned to me, his expression filled with concern. "Are you okay, baby girl?" he asked, his eyes searching mine for any sign of distress.
I nodded, trying to steady my racing heart. "I'm fine, thanks to you and Deucalion," I said, grateful for their protection. "I don't know what I would do without you."
Theo pulled me into his arms, wrapping me in a comforting embrace. "You'll never have to find out," he vowed, his voice filled with determination. "I'll always be here to protect you, no matter what."
