After the excitement of Pidge's new invention, the team decided to take a well-deserved break. Lance and Keith found themselves with some free time and decided to hang out.

"Hey Keith, how about we just chill today? Maybe check out that park near the Garrison," Lance suggested, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Keith raised an eyebrow but couldn't hide a small smile. "Alright, but if you try to push me into the fountain, I'm getting you back."

They made their way to the park, enjoying the warm weather and the vibrant surroundings. The park was filled with people, families having picnics, and kids playing with their pets. It was a perfect day for some relaxation.

As they strolled through the park, Lance couldn't resist some light-hearted teasing. "Hey Keith, think you can beat me in a race to that tree?"

Keith smirked. "You're on."

They took off, racing each other to the tree. Lance narrowly won, collapsing dramatically on the grass. "Ha! Still got it!"

Keith rolled his eyes, but there was a smile on his face. "Barely. You've been slacking, Lance."

They found a shady spot under the tree and sat down, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. "You know, Keith, it's nice to just hang out like this. No missions, no stress. Just... us."

Keith nodded. "Yeah, it's a nice change of pace."

They spent the afternoon talking, laughing, and sharing stories. Lance brought up some of their old Voltron adventures, the ones that were particularly memorable.

"Remember that time we had to fly through that asteroid field? I thought we were done for!" Lance said, chuckling.

Keith smiled. "Yeah, but we made it through. We always do."

Just then, a group of kids ran by, laughing and playing with a frisbee. One of them accidentally threw it in Lance and Keith's direction. Keith caught it effortlessly and handed it back, a smile tugging at his lips.

"Nice catch, Samurai," Lance teased.

Keith shrugged. "Takes practice."

"Speaking of practice, want to show these kids how it's done?" Lance said, grabbing a nearby soccer ball.

They joined the kids in a spontaneous soccer game, their competitive spirits shining through. Lance's playful antics had the kids in stitches, while Keith's precise moves impressed everyone.

After the game, they found a food cart and treated themselves to ice cream. "Two cones, please," Lance ordered, flashing a charming smile at the vendor.

Keith took a bite of his ice cream and sighed contentedly. "This was a good idea, Lance."

Lance grinned. "I have my moments."

As the sun began to set, they decided to head back. On the way, they stumbled upon a small arcade. "Wanna play some games?" Lance asked, his eyes lighting up.

Keith hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Sure, why not?"

They spent the next hour playing various arcade games, from racing simulators to air hockey. The friendly competition brought out their playful sides, with Lance constantly teasing Keith about his scores.

"Come on, mullet! You can do better than that!" Lance taunted, laughing as he beat Keith at another game.

Keith shook his head, but he was clearly having fun. "Just wait, Lance. I'll win the next one."

By the time they left the arcade, they were both in high spirits. "Today was a good day," Lance said, grinning.

"Yeah, it was," Keith agreed, a rare smile on his face. "Thanks, Lance."

Lance shrugged, feeling a warmth in his chest. "Anytime, Keith. We should do this more often."

As they headed back to the Garrison, the bond between them felt stronger than ever. It was just a simple hangout, but it was a day neither of them would forget.
