Hey guys; it's been a hot minute. Ever since I finished Polar Planes, I've been working on a new story. It has honestly been one of the most difficult projects I've taken up. I'd been thinking about this all the way back in 2023, but I forced myself not to get started until I could finish Polar Planes. Even after about a year of planning and writing, there is still so much to do and polish up that I cannot offer you a concrete day of release. However, here are some things you should know:
1. I will be publishing a Gojo Satoru x OC fanfiction, and it will take place in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe following the main plot.
2. Even though I have worked hard to make a product that I'm satisfied with, the reality is that many of you might not enjoy this work. And that is simply because it is not tailored to the Wattpad algorithm, especially how this algorithm applies to Jujutsu Kaisen fanfictions in general.
3. This means that there will be no spice or lemon or NSFW content. If you are familiar with my work, you know that I am decently plot heavy and will tie it into the romance.
4. The story is titled "My Eyes". This is going to be the cover, which I have illustrated/designed myself. Please do not use it without my permission:

5. I am hoping to release this in mid November, but there is a big chance it will be later because of how much school is kicking my ass right now. I just want to make sure that I can finish what I start so that I don't leave my readers hanging.
6. As of right now, I don't have any plans for a fanfiction after this. My Eyes may be one of the last things I publish for a long time.
In light of the recent Jujutsu Kaisen ending, I do have a few words. First of all, I am disappointed in how Gege decided to finish their story despite lots of potential to take it to a great place. I actually ended up dropping the manga 30 chapters before it ended, and I do not regret my decision at all. Not only were so many questions left unanswered, but there was no overarching theme or conflict resolution that felt worthwhile. None of the characters had undergone genuine internal development (besides trauma for shock value), and the plot became extremely convoluted to the point when I started questioning what the point of the entire story was.
I started this fanfiction knowing that I'd probably finish after jjk ended, so I tried my best to align it with what I currently knew. Because of my many grievances with the direction of the story, I've made some modifications to the plot which can be attributed to the insertion of my OC. Thus, I will be attempting to plug up some unanswered questions or unexplained points that Gege did not care to address.
I know that I am not a perfect writer myself - I'm far from it. However, I know that many jjk fans are seeking refuge from the way that everything ended, and I will try my best to offer some padding to that demand.
Again, I want to thank anyone who has read up to this point or anyone who has read any of my previous works. Even though I've been busy, I check Wattpad regularly and stay updated on any insight you guys have to offer.
