[At Yn's place]
Hours passed away but you couldn't close your eyes. Your mind kept replaying the earlier conversation you had with Jungkook. The way he said he'll never come back haunted you. Your heart becomes restless with a unknown fear.
What does he mean? You couldn't take out the thought making you impatient. You looked at your phone but didn't have any courage to call him. After everything you said to him, you won't be able to face him.
Sighing heavily, you stood up and went downstairs in the kitchen. You poured some cold water for herself and chugged it down. When suddenly a voice appeared.
‘Why're up so late?’
You turned around and saw your dad standing with a worried face.
‘Nothing serious dad.. I'm just feeling a bit tired.’
He sighed caressing your hairs.
‘I understand.. wanna eat something? I can make for you.’ You smiled shaking your head.
‘No dad, I'm fine. You should sleep now, it's late.’
You said handing him a glass of water. He drank and placed the glass back.
‘Don't stress yourself dear, everything's gonna be okay.’ You sighed hugging him.
‘Yes dad.. I hope so.’ You broke the hug when his phone rang and picked it up.
‘Yes, Dr Shin speaking..’
‘Alright, I'm on my way.’ He hung up.
‘What's wrong dad? You're looking tensed.’
‘Actually, there's an accident case has admitted, where the man who was driving fall in a river. His condition is critical and no other doctors are available at this hour, so I've to go.’
You gasped hearing him as your heart raced unknowingly.
‘Don't worry, I'll be back soon. Stay careful and safe, call me if you need anything.’
You nodded as he dressed up and left. You sat on the couch and worrying for him.
‘Please be safe..’
[time skips]
At hospital, Mr Shin reached as the nurses rushed to him.
‘Where's the patient?’
‘In ICU sir, he's in very severe condition. He has a deep injury in the head and he drowned in the river. We're trying to take the water out from his body but his heart rate is slowing down.’
He took the reports and entered the room. He kept the file and turned to the patient when his eyes widened.
‘Sir, here's his ID card, his name is Jeon Jungkook.’ His head felt dizzy as he stepped back.
‘Mr Shin? Are you ok?’
He couldn't able to believe what he's witnessing. The guy who visited him few hours ago standing upright is now laying lifeless.
How will he tell you that it'll Jungkook?
How will you accept the truth?
Even if you tell you hate Jungkook but he knows deep down how much you still care for him. He took a deep breath calming himself and decided to not tell anyone at this situation. Right now, he have to save him at any cost.
‘Call Doctor Kim and Jung fast, we've to perform surgery immediately!’
‘Yes sir.’
As the other doctors arrived, the operation started. After hours the operation ended when it was 5 in the morning.
