Ticking Timebomb

In topside, on the deck of an airship, Y/N stands between Jinx and the Firelights

"Nobody move!" Y/N authoritatively orders as he looks at the Firelights. He then shifts his vision to Jinx, sternly yet softly staring into her furious and pained eyes

A standstill ensues, all parties carefully studying the others' moves while being ready at a moment's notice

Y/N takes his eyes off Jinx and looks at Ekko, only seeing the white veil, yet he knows what his eyes are conveying, anger, betrayal, and confusion

Y/N himself grows in frustration, all while the blue-haired loose canon trembles in fury. The corners of her mind being clawed and stricken by the voices, every surface of her psyche being filled with screams of despair and mockery

"Nobody wants a damned jinx like you!"

"You really let him trick you?"

"You're more pathetic than I thought"

"No wonder, Vi, left you"

The assault in her mind couldn't be mitigated any longer. In a swift move, Jinx brings out her minigun while firing off a few rounds with her other hand at the red-themed vigilante

Y/N's ears perk from Jinx's movements, his eyes widening at the sound of her gun going off. He quickly turns his body and retaliates by sending bullets from his pistol, blocking the incoming projectiles

"I told you to stop!" Y/N yells before chucking the army knife in his hand. The blade stabs into Jinx's left forearm, causing her to drop the minigun

"AH!" Jinx yelps as she crouches from the pain radiating in her arm

Y/N bolts toward the girl, making some of the Firelights rev their boards. "Guess he's on our side, after all." One of the members says before another dashes toward Jinx

"Then let's get her while she's down!" He screams as a few more follow suit with their weapons at the ready

"Wait, stop!" Ekko calls out when holding an arm out forward, making Scar and Eve pick up on the intent of the order

As Y/N reaches Jinx, he sharply turns on his heels and points his pistol toward the incoming Firelights, causing Ekko's eyes to widen

"Get out of there!" He orders while activating his hoverboard and flying toward the oncoming danger

Y/N fires his pistol at two of the approaching Firelights, hitting them in the side of their lower abdomens, causing them to lose balance and fling themselves off their boards

"You bastard!!!" A girl with a bird mask shouts as she charges at Y/N while throwing a crystal bomb his way

Y/N leaps toward the rebel and shoots the bomb, making it explode and send shards in multiple directions

"Don't try to hang with me, kid." He says while pulling out another army knife from his gear. He swipes his arm at the girl when he is thrown off-course by an attempted stab to the gut
