On the deck of an airship, Caitlyn inspects the aftermath of a battle

"Hm..." She kneels and looks over a knife stabbed into the floor. She takes out her camera and catches a photo before taking more of the crime scene

Her search leads her to trails and splotches of blood on the deck. She notices a more prominent pattern that leads down a hatch

She enters and hears shuddering breaths. "Is anyone there?" The breathing stop, prompting her to inch closer to the origin of the noise

She finds another hatch and shines her light through it, finding a burly man inside. "You're from the Undercity..." She lifts the cover and drops inside

"I didn't do anything, it's all that crazy bastard- GAH!" The man known as, Lock, spits out while groaning in agony, a knife still lodged into his chest

Caitlyn slowly approaches Lock and inspects the knife in his chest, slightly furrowing her eyebrows. "I'm going to get you help, but you have to tell me what happened. Who did this to you?"

Lock takes some heavy breaths before looking back at Caitlyn. "I..." His eyes quake a bit as he recalls a certain red-themed man

Caitlyn notices his slight shift in demeanor and gently puts a hand on his shoulder. "Easy, don't worry, I'll protect you, I promise"

Lock takes a moment before letting out a tiny breath of worry. "Red... Red Hood..."

Caitlyn's eyebrows furrow more defiantly. "I knew it"

Lock grunts as more blood seeps out of his wound. He composed himself before continuing. "He came out of nowhere and started-"

"Wow, looks like you got a big one, huh, Cait?" Malone expresses with a carefree attitude, ceasing any further discussion as he stands next to Marcus

"Kiramman, you're a long way from your mother's tent, it seems you got lost. Care to explain?" Caitlyn throws a menacing glare at Malone, making him avert her eyes in embarrassment

She soon switches her attention to Marcus and grows a more submissive demeanor while still holding onto part of her conviction. "Well, I was just taking a break when I happened to see..."

"Hey, I wanted to bring you on, but Marcus wanted to keep you out of it..."

Caitlyn averts Marcus' stare for a second before finishing her explanation. "I saw-"

"Aw, c'mon, Marcus, stop being hard on her. She was just going above and beyond the call of duty." Malone candidly says while leaning on Marcus' shoulder, making the Sheriff shrug him off

Malone straightens himself and winks at Caitlyn before looking back at Marcus with a sly grin. "She did help us get to this crime scene before anything else could happen, that counts for something, right?"

A pulsing vein forms on Marcus' forehead, making Caitlyn grow a comical cold sweat as she looks at him and Malone with concerned eyes

"I suppose..." Marcus side-eyes Malone and finds him to hold his grin, causing him to grumble. "You have a point..."

Malone chuckles with a big smile as Marcus returns his eyes to Caitlyn. "In light of your interference with this investigation... You have somewhat aided in our efforts"

Malone shoots a noticeable smirk and two thumbs-up Caitlyn's way. "And since you did so all on your own, your reward will be guarding our prestigious city by taking the graveyard shift at the fair"
