Paving The Way

In the Undercity, Y/N falls to the ground while seeing his bullet pass through Ekko's body

"No..." He mutters in absolute horror as the last thing he's able to see is bullets flying everywhere while Eve rushes to Ekko's aid

Y/N hits the ground a few seconds later, causing a fairly big dust cloud to be made, forming a decent-sized crater

He lies there momentarily while his vision darkens, eventually, everything becomes black

As Y/N becomes unconscious, Eve makes her way to Ekko and catches him. "Ekko!" She calls his name with desperation, only receiving a painful grunt from the boy

Eve then turns her head to the rest of the crew. "Let's go, now!" She barks at her team members while leaving with Ekko, prompting all to flee while Scar activates a smoke cover

The lieutenant gets on his board and flies away before handing off an unconscious Vi to a fellow member. "Not yet." He grumbles while shifting his sights down below

Scar revs his board and heads straight for Y/N with his spear in hand. He grips the weapon and makes it to the downed vigilante after a few seconds

He hops off his board and lands next to Y/N. "This ends right now." Scar lifts the spear with both and is about to strike down on the man's chest when he observes a glowing orb on the ground

Scar ceases his attack and goes to grab the gemstone. He crouches and picks up the blue sphere, now standing straight and holding it out in front

He inspects it a bit further when a bullet passes his face, hitting Y/N in the shoulder. "UGH!" The red-themed man blurts out as his face scrunches up in discomfort

Y/N groans and shifts his body a bit, causing Scar to feel a jolt of fear spread through his body. He glances back to see Jinx coming down the tall structure

"Damn it." The Chirean Firelight grumbles before hopping on his board and soaring away from the area with the gemstone in his possession

Y/N slowly opens his eyelids when Jinx closes in on him. "Powder?" He mutters as the loose canon eventually makes it to the ground and his location

She looks down at her older brother with a conflicted, yet cold expression. She lifts her gun and fires. "AH! Why are- AH!"

Y/N yelps as the bullets hit his body and drop to the ground, all missing Caitlyn's rifle on his chest

Jinx continues until emptying her pistol. She lets out a deep sigh and kicks Y/N in the leg. "Screw you"

Y/N throws her a puzzled look while she gives a blank stare. She twirls her pistol in her hand before placing it back

Jinx then turns in place and shifts her eyes downward

"So much for caring about him..." She says in a low tone while staring at her feet, dragging them along as she mopily heads her way back to her base

Y/N observes the blue-haired loose cannon leave as he sits up. The rifle hangs as he leans forward a bit, slouching while staring at his hands which are feasting on his legs

He angrily furrows his eyebrows when balling his hands into fists, clenching them with most of his strength, his eyes even turning pink

As he exerts more force, he feels a jolt of immense discomfort shoot through his midsection and heart before reaching his head. "AHHH!!!"

Y/N shoots his eyes wide open as his muscles convulse. "GRAH! EUAAAGH!!" He hunches more forward, his head drumming sounds of pain while purple liquid leaks out of his eyes
