Now being hit with a harpoon was a new one but it hurt way more than any sword attack. I think Alanna had healed me but the blood felt like it was still seeping out.

"Caleb, he's gone," Alanna said gently.

I shook my head and gazed at her.

"Who's... wait," I stood up and grabbed empty air as I stumbled to get my balance.

Alanna grabbed me and helped steady me. I leaned against her heavily and saw her bandage tinged in pink.

"Are you hurt?"

"Not as bad as you," she rested her hand against my cheek.

Someone cleared their throat and we pulled away embarrassed.

"Right so Souls you need to rest as you do too Aida while we continue our voyage to Saraphina."

I stood upright slowly and cursed under my breath for being so weak. Alanna had her arm around me as we walked back towards my quarters. It was taking twice as long as what it normally would and every step I took made me gasp quietly from the pain.

Once I settled onto the bed, Alanna laid down next to me as I resituated myself. If this pain didn't go away soon, I wouldn't be able to think clearly.

"Caleb," I felt her slim figure curl into mine.

"Shh, you need to sleep Princess." I kissed her forehead. It didn't matter if I needed to rest as well, as long as she was safe everything would be okay. And the safest she would be is in my arms.

"Thank you for saving me," she kissed me back before falling asleep soundly.

Being able to hold her once more as she slept was a miracle. She was a true angel and there was no one else who could possibly make me feel this way.

After a long night's sleep I was able to stand without stumbling. Alanna was trying to rebandage my wounds but I was being stubborn. I would rather Jewel do the dirty work or even Skye! This was no procedure for her to be doing.

"Caleb it'll get infected."

"I can do it myself," I grumbled as she tried to wrap the bandage around my waist.

"No, just let me okay? Be vulnerable for once," she straddled me in order to finish up her job.

"Well when you do it like that," I teased as she finished up while blushing.

"You're so beautiful Lanna," I murmured while holding her tight.

"Thank you," she got up and went to change.

"Captain," Patch said rapping on my door.

"Yes what is it?"

"Pyra is requesting for our presence."

I held back a groan, "did she say why?"

"Only that it was urgent. We could make the stop before retreating into the clouds."

"We have no choice do we?" I asked and groaned internally, this would delay our arrival to the air kingdom. Hopefully Saraphina would excuse it when realizing it was to see what Pyra needed.

"Not that I know of Captain. Shall I send a reply to her Majesty?"

"Yes and be quick about it."

"Yes Captain."
