"So if i'm guessing correctly..." Vich started, staring at a motionless orb of light infront of him.

"You... Want me to hold a small aspect of the absolute being to ensure their continued existence, in return, I get to use a sort of gaming system?"

Yes

Pausing, Vich's mouth opened before closing. "Like, am I allowed to do anything with this power?"

Also yes

"Like... It doesnt matter if I were to use them for evil?"

Whether or not you use it for others or yourself is entirely up to you, all we want is another vessel to hold the Absolute's growing power.

"Why?" He questioned, seeing how much the orb is leaving out.

That is not for you to know.

Vich felt like he should not delve into this further, so instead decided to ask other questions. "So how will the system work? and also, why is it even styled like that?"

To answer the former, it bases around the following stats:
Strength
Dexterity
Constitution
Mind

Strength is self-explanatory. Dexterity concerns itself with movement in general. Constitution to put it simply, is how well you could survive, and Mind revolves around anything related to thought or consciousness.

You start with 1 point in each stat, and a point is what a human could achieve on average, so if you were to have two points in strength, you would be as strong as two humans combined.

"Thats simple enough, Though I dont see a reason for only having four stats cause' I remember in most game systems, they have multiple other stats, so what gives?"

The answer to that also relates to your earlier question as well. The system is styled differently for other vessels, some simpler than even yours while others complex, all of it comes down to what a vessel finds to be simpler or atleast enjoyable.

Complex system enjoy a wider range of specialization at the cost of efficiency, while simpler systems lack the specialization in exchange for efficiency.

Now, any other question?

Vich brought a hand to his chin and thought for a moment, he then looked back to the orb and shook his head. "None, you've answered the bare minimum of what I need."

He tucked his hand behind him then a thought came to his head. "Wait, now that you mention it, are there others like me?"

Yes, most of you agree to call yourselves shopkeepers.

"Why's that?"

We tend to drop you all off in random worlds across the multiverse with your new identity being a shopkeeper.

"Wait wait, other worlds?"

Indeed, for reasons I will not disclose, we spread you all around the multiverse, and the name shopkeeper also started because of a certain feature of the system.

"Which is?"

You will find out when you, as they would call it 'spawn in'

"Gotcha, hmmmm, guess im all set for the road."

Perfect, now hold still as I come inside you

"Wait what?" Vich stuttered out before the orb went into his chest, vanishing into him. Vich froze in place, before coning back to his senses. "Well... aight... I guess?"

Then he felt it. Vich collapsed unto the ground, as a burning pain pulsated from where his heart is. Coughing, he began to hit the area in hopes of numbing out the pain to no avail.

It wasn't a pain so great that it warranted his screaming, but more than enough to make him double over, the pain more along the line of a muscle cramp.

Moments pass as the pain began to subside, Vich taking in deep breaths as he shakily stood up. While recovering a UI grid appeared before him, his system.

Name: Vich Norwegian
Species:Human

Strength: 1
Dexterity: 1
Constitution: 1
Mind: 1
UaP - 2

Shop: 10c

Worlds:
none

'Okay' Vich thought. 'they definetly left a few things out, however I think it should be simple enough to understand'

'Species? must mean there are non-human shopkeepers, which sounds cool if im being honest. Wonder if there are any of those green aliens?'

'Okay so what is UaP though? its below the stats section so it must be related somehow... Oh wait! it could be like stat points I could allocate to different stats'

Vich then tested his theory by allocating his two points to, and after much deliberation, to his mind and constitution stats.

The changes were almost immediate, and not even subtle in the slightest. His muscles tensed then tightened as his height grew, he felt his bones cracked in a delightful fashion, and somehow he felt himself somehow become smarter.

Name: Vich Norwegian
Species:Human

Strength: 1
Dexterity: 1
Constitution: 2
Mind: 2
UaP - 0

Shop: 10c

Worlds:
none

Satisfied, Vich nodded at his choice, though strength would have been nice, he read too many novels where the mc put too much emphasis on strength only to regret it later on, hell he even experienced this in elden ring.

getting off track here, Vich returned his thoughts to the next tab, the shop option. He mindlessly clicked on it, then the display on his system changed. From the simplified stat block, to something akin to a online shopping catalog.

Vich saw a myriad of different items being sold food, water, clothes, hell even vehicles, but that wasn't the most surprising part, no, the most surprising part was that the shop sold superpowers!

Some he recognized, others he didn't, clicking on them did give him the details of what they do. he checked the price tag, and holy were those alot of zeroes, then again, considering what they do, it seems reasonable.

Vich looked for the cheaper options, yet even the ability called 'lesser fire control' costed well over a hundred C something he probably doesnt have much of.

So he continued going through the shop, familiarizing himself with its contents. through his fiddling he found what the shop called as knowledge disks.

From its description, a knowledge disk was something that immedietly gave someone the inherit knowledge of something, most are basic like cooking while some are a little for complex such as martial arts, with there being alot of different options.

Satisfied, he thought to close the system, which it did. He smiled then heard a whirring sound behind him, looking towards it he saw a blue portal shrouded in a slight mist.

guessing that this where the fun begins, Vich took a step towards the portal, and with not much hesitation, went through it.
