As Taehyung and Jimin guided you down the narrow corridor, you limped slightly, the sprain in your ankle reminding you of the chaos outside. The dim light flickered above, casting eerie shadows on the walls, but you pressed on, determined to keep pace with the others. Jimin walked ahead, occasionally glancing back at you with a mix of concern and suspicion, while Taehyung stayed close, offering silent reassurance.

You entered a small meeting room, where Lisa and Yoongi were deep in conversation, their voices hushed but urgent. Lisa looked up, her expression shifting from concentration to surprise as she noticed you.

"Y/N! You're awake!" Lisa said, her tone warm despite the seriousness of the situation. Yoongi nodded in acknowledgment but didn't say anything, his eyes flicking between you and the map spread across the table.

"What's going on?" you asked, trying to ignore the tension in Jimin's posture as he leaned against the wall, arms crossed defensively.

"We've been discussing our next move," Lisa explained, gesturing for you to take a seat. "We believe Jeon Ha-joon is behind the virus outbreak. He's the scientist who created it, and we need to find him before more damage is done."

"How do you know it's him?" you asked, needing clarity in the whirlwind of information.

Yoongi leaned forward, his voice steady. "We have some intel that suggests he's hiding out in a lab not far from here. But we need to come up with a solid plan to infiltrate it without getting caught."

Jimin scoffed quietly, still holding onto his skepticism. "And how do we know she isn't just a liability? We can't afford any mistakes, especially not with someone who might be working for him."

Taehyung shot him a warning look. "Enough, Jimin. Y/N is one of us now. We need to focus."

Lisa nodded, unfurling a map of the area. "The lab is heavily guarded, but we think we can get in through the maintenance entrance. We'll have to move quickly and quietly. It'll be dangerous, but it's our best shot."

You felt a mix of anxiety and adrenaline coursing through you as you listened to their plan. The stakes were high, and you didn't want to let fear hold you back.

"Let's get ready," Yoongi said, rising to his feet. "We'll head out at dawn. Make sure you all get some rest."

As the others filed out of the room, Jimin lingered for a moment, his gaze locked on you. "Don't think I trust you just because you saved Taehyung," he said coldly before turning on his heel and leaving.

You took a deep breath, trying to shake off his words. Taehyung stayed behind, offering you a small smile. "Don't mind him. He just needs time."

"Thanks, Taehyung," you replied, feeling grateful for his support.

Later That Night

As the night deepened, you lay awake, struggling to find rest. Your mind churned with anticipation about the lab mission and the dangers ahead. Each scenario played out vividly in your head—what you'd find, who you'd face, and the horrors that might await. Every time you tried to close your eyes, images of the surveillance cameras and the secret guns haunted you. It wasn't just fear of the unknown but the anxiety of failure that weighed heavy on your chest.

Finally, exhaustion took over, pulling you into a restless sleep. ________________________________________________________________________________

The Next Morning:

Adrenaline surged through your veins as you woke, still groggy from the uneasy night. The room buzzed with the quiet murmurs of preparation, and you couldn't shake the feeling that today was going to change everything.

Lisa approached with a small pile of clothes in her arms. "Here," she said, handing you fresh, clean clothes. "Put these on. You'll need to blend in better."

Grateful for the change, you nodded, slipping into the new outfit—a simple, yet functional set of dark, tactical gear that felt oddly comforting. It was different from your usual look, but in the midst of the apocalypse, there was no room for vanity. As you adjusted the straps and secured the jacket, you caught sight of yourself in the cracked mirror on the wall. You looked different—stronger, more determined. The old version of you, the one who had been afraid and unsure, seemed miles away.

When you stepped out of the room, you noticed Yoongi staring at you with a raised eyebrow, his surprise evident.

"You look... different," he said, almost amused.

You let out a small laugh, pointing at him. "I could say the same about you."

Yoongi's own attire had changed, courtesy of Jimin and Lisa. He looked more prepared than ever, his once casual demeanor replaced with a sense of focus and readiness. It was strange seeing him this way—like the world had forced you both to shed your former selves and become something new, something capable of surviving in this nightmare.

Jimin stood nearby, a rare smile playing on his lips as he watched Yoongi. The tension between them from before seemed to have eased, their body language relaxed and comfortable. It was subtle, but you could see Jimin slowly warming up to Yoongi, and it was clear that their bond was strengthening. You weren't sure what to make of it, but it felt good to see Jimin's icy demeanor thaw just a little.

Taehyung caught your gaze, giving you a nod. "Ready?"

You inhaled sharply, pushing down the bubbling anxiety. "Yeah. Let's do this."
