You didn't expect it'll be that easy, but you managed to convince your mom about changing schools.

She was against it at first. She said something about being far away from home and how you aren't ready for it yet. But maybe it's because she was already expecting it, so her begrudging agreement came after a moment of silence.

You'd always planned on leaving the city. She, and your dad knew about it.

That's the only reason you were allowed to have a part-time job—your desire to live in the countryside, where you thought there would be lesser curses that will surround you there (back before you even knew those things were curses). When they saw how tired you were of living in the bustling city of Tokyo, they let you dream about it for a while.

Now, you don't have to go far away. You just have to be in the suburbs of Tokyo, live a school life without working any retail jobs afterwards...

At the expense of giving up your life for life threatening missions, but they don't have to know about that.

Ignorance is bliss. And with your mom being allergic to discussing things in a serious and sentimental manner, you didn't have the time to say goodbye to her properly.

Maybe you'll be able to say goodbye in the future. Maybe not.

You didn't tell her the truth about jujutsu, about your possible deaths. You didn't tell dad either, but for him, you also didn't inform him of the changing of your school. You wanted to see him first, say your goodbyes better before you fully remove yourself from their lives.

It's a terrible secret to keep from someone who cared about you, but you hoped you'll be able to have one last dinner with both of them together.

That's not a terrible thing to want as their only child, right?

You tried not to sweat at the pressure of scrutinization.

In front of you, a burly man stood with his arms crossed on his dark staff uniform. His brush buzz cut hair had two straight lines that went across to his ears. He didn't have his sunglasses yet, but seeing his eyes narrow in real life was even more nerve wracking than you expected it to be.

This was Masamichi Yaga, the future principal of Jujutsu High.

Right now, he's the current teacher of the monster class of 2005—the same class that you've been put in.

Yaga was supposed to lead you up to the mountains of Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College, but now he's stuck here, dealing with a ridiculous sight in front of him.

"You cannot send away this cursed spirit of yours?" Yaga asked, his gaze now boring into something behind you.

"No, sir," you said.

He grunted, looking displeased as he squinted at your towering cursed spirit.

Everyone should be glad you only have this cursed spirit as your 'power'. If you even had a fraction of Gojo's cheat abilities or Geto's overpowered technique, you would have taken advantage of it like the lazy ass you were.
