Ever since that day, Geto always waited patiently for your shift to end.

Sometimes you wanted to tell him he didn't need to stay there, waiting alone by one of the stools of the convenience store. He was busy with his first year at the Jujutsu High and all of the stuff they do there (studying? Exorcising curses? Trying not to die?), but Geto always brushed it off with his elbow propped on the table, smile as charming as before, and voice as whispery as always:

"It's alright. This is pretty important anyway, according to my school."

What a terrifying reassurance.

Isn't he basically admitting that I'm in danger?

Once your shift finished, Geto walked you home. At first, the conversations he struck up were only about the cursed objects: 'when did you get them' or if you 'knew exactly who gave them to you', all that important stuff.

But somehow, even if you didn't understand how, the conversation turned casual until you started talking to him about everything that happened to you in school, and him, about the annoying stuff he had to deal with from time to time.

It seemed surreal. You were actually getting to know the boy you once saw on print.

But who cares now? Certainly not you anymore.

On the night after the situation with Geto, you realized that you were in grave danger with your 26 total of cursed objects that are far more than all of Sukuna's fingers combined (that man has four arms too, which is bizarre on its own).

You cursed the world for giving you so much of this suffering, but your saving grace is at least having the chance to be near Geto's existence throughout all of this.

Hey. I've been suffering from seeing these curses for years now, both in real life and in dream world. The least the world could do is give me a handsome man to lighten up my days.

Will you get to meet Nanami? Or even Shoko, who seems like the best type of person to spend a whole day with?

You don't even wonder about Gojo anymore; since you're intertwined with Geto at every moment of your life now (until he finishes delivering the comics to his school), you knew it'll be inevitable to meet the strongest sorcerer of all time.

Geto seemed to know it too, which was why he warned you as soon as possible.

"You ought to be very careful," Geto sipped through the cup of noodles he bought while you were manning the counter. "I'm the only sorcerer assigned to take your cursed objects to safety. If any other person comes up to you... Let's say it's an annoying looking guy with white hair, dark glasses, and an irritating smile on his face, feel free to kick him where the sun doesn't shine. Or even cuss him out. Actually, you're free to protect yourself however you see fit if you meet someone like him."

It's not difficult to know who he was talking about, but you still brushed it off, cause duh. Why would you show you knew who that annoying guy was when you could just act ignorant instead?

"I think you should be careful too, Geto-san."

Geto was in the middle of slurping noodles when he turned to you, one brow raised.

You cleaned the counter to not stare at his majestic looking face. "If you keep speaking so nonchalantly about your... business like that, maybe people might overhear and start thinking you're a lunatic. Normal people don't know anything about your side of the world, right?"

Your side of the world isn't even supposed to exist, you refrained from saying that out loud.

"You're probably right," Geto chuckled. "It's just too easy to talk freely around you. You've got this way of making things seem... normal."
