The first thing she saw was viscous blue. Laying on her back she awoke to only blue.

Azure dripped from her as she startled forward, she coughed out puddles of thick liquid. Finding her hands resting on hard stone as more was released from her insides, her legs still sat buried in watery fluid. Eyes burning as the last of it was emptied from her, she couldn't see past a blue tinge. All colors but one were visible and of the one everything was blurred beyond recognition.

What or where was she?

A slight cold against her dripping skin caused her to shiver as she reeled back into the pool for warmth. Unable to get any deeper, however, she sat covering the coldest parts of herself with her arms.

Dampened beyond usefulness a pair of feathery appendages at the back of her waist did the same as above, curling around her legs the best they could.

It was like that where she sat for what felt like an eternity. No new sounds, smells, or tastes.

A change at all visually was but a dream as for if it could occur perhaps she could leave the waters on her own. Without sight, however, she was trapped in the pool. The feeling was all she knew besides the rough stone and frigid air. Although she could discern slight changes in smell, over distance it was all so absent of any notability.

Sat in that state forever questioning, a voice eventually soothed all worries. Like a calm serenade, she was coaxed from her position of weakness.

The voice kindly guided her to the real world where she gained all that was missing. The sun warmed her to temperatures she didn't know existed while the light burned away any azure colors still filling her vision, then back into the caves below she followed.

Locked away from the outside world for very long she was not given a reason. But one day she was promised to be set free and that was a day she looked forward to, for her mistress was kind.
