Chapter 8. Blabbermouths

Wonwoo's POV

"YO!" I said to Mingyu as I saw him come back to campus holding Steph on his back.
"hey bro!" He said as he gestured with his neck to his back where Steph was sound asleep.
"How'd you get her to get on your back?" I asked
"She fell asleep on my shoulders" he said as he smiled proudly
I facepalmed myself In my donsaeng's stupidity.
I went to his back where he jumped in SUPRISE waking Steph up with a jolt.
"Don't touch her! I like feeling her" he said as he smirked
"Gross.." isaid before Mingyu groaned
Steph woke up and heard what he said, resulting in a slap on his back.
"You're not feeling me ever again!" She said as she jumped off his back.
Ichuckled as Mingyu was in an awkward position trying to rub where Steph had hit him.
"Where'd you Two go anyways" i asked them... better not be a hotel or something.
"We went to the food market nearby" Steph said as she yawnes and stretched as Mingyu took the chance to poke her stomach.
"Yah! Do you want to die?" She threatened him
"Ill be happy if you killed me" he Said smirking as her cheeks turned a warm shade of pink.
"Ill be happy to" she said as she lunged forward and tried to grab Mingyu but he grabbed her first by the waist he held her as she struggled to get out.
I smiled seeing these two so happy.
"But anyways... Hyung did you know the untouchable Steph had a best friend?" Mingyu asked suddenly.
"No I didn't, I don't really pay attention to her" I said as StepH shot me and Mingyu a glare. I chuckled as Mingyu sent her a wink, which made Steph fake gag.
"Well, funny story we met her best friend at the market too." He said as he played with Steph's hair.
"Oh well that's cool..." I said to him not really sure why he was telling me this.
"You know but she was really pretty so you know if you want you can go and hook u-
"No! No you can't! Not to SoomI!" She yelled and smacked Mingyu on the head.
I flew into my own thoughts as Mingyu whimpered,
It couldn't be...
Could it?
If it is... then she wasn't kidnapped?
She wasn't dead?
She's alive....
I just need to find her....
Maybe it really is Soomi!
"Did you happen to take any photos with her?" I asked her
"No no... Jeon Won Woo... You will stay AWAY from Lee Soomi! Do you understand?!?!" She yelled.
Lee?
Maybe it was!
I just need to make sure.
"Its really important! And I promise not to do anything to her! Please Steph... do youhave any pics?" I said I bet I sounded pretty desperate too....
"Wonwoo yah..." Steph said her expression made it easy to tell she was worried and Mingyu being the idiot he is just stood there scratching his head..
"Please Steph I'm desperate.... this is really important" I begged
"Relax Hyung ill find you another girl!" Mingyu said shamelessly
I facepalmed myself as Steph rolled her eyes.
"Fine... but only because you said it was important" she said as Mingyu smirked and said
"Steph can you kiss me pleaseee its really important" he pouted.
This kid....
"Aish... no Mingyu!" Steph scowled and pulled out her phone.
Mingyu whined about how she said yes to me and not to him.
"That's her next to me" she said as she handed me her phone.
My heart beat started to speed up as soon as I recognized the smiling face on Steph's phone screen.
It was her!
"Hey Steph... do you happen to have anything that I can contact her with?" I asked her urgency heard in mg voice.
"Sure...." she said Confusedly.
she handed me her phone number, and directions to get to her house.
"Thank Soo much Steph I owe you one" I Said before grabbing my bag off tje bench it was on before stopping.
"Wonwoo! Can you get him away from me?" Steph yelled feom behind me.
I turned and saw Mingyu trying to pin StepH on the wall.
Good move bro.....
"That's not turf" I smirked and gave Mingyu a thumbs up, earning a glare from Steph.
I walked off of campus, nodding a hello to all the teachers and then rushed off towards the market. Maybe she was still there...
I ran in and looked around but found nothing...
"Ahjumma? Did you see a girl named Lee Soomi here?" I asked
"Yes we did infact she left an hour ago! My mother said she did see her" she said as she smiled
"Thank youso much!" I said and ran out the door.
she must be at her little cotrage now.
I looked at the directions and followed them.
Through the path, then throuh the woods, and finally I saw a little cabing out in the distance.
I was sweating now I ran the whole way.... I needed to find her... to warn her about her mother.
I ran up the hill feeling the burn in my legs.
But then...
I groaned as I fell into a little rabit hole as my ankle twisted.
The pain hurt and I wasted so much energy running that I couldn't even pull myself out.
I gently put all of my weight to my good foot and sat down as the pain in my ankle was burning.
I felt tears at the brink of falling, my legs burned and I couldn't find my voice to yell....
What was I doing?
why am I doing this for some girl?
Do I choose to go through all of this pain?
No...
So why am I doing this?
Because I care...
I don't want her to go through the beatings like I did.
The pain of feeling your birth parents hate the sight of you and beat you instead of caring and reassuring.
No that's not happening to her.
Even if its too late I'm going to gI've her another chance at life.
"Help!!! Help!!!" I yelled in the direction of the house.
Soon the door opened and a young man came running out, Soomi behind him.
Wait... a young man?
What was he doing with Soomi?
