The area reserved for the Meute de Loupe pack within the Academy's school grounds was the largest part of the Lycan Forest. It was also the furthest from the main buildings and the other four packs attending the school.
The Meute de Loupes used the area for their shifts, and since tonight was the full moon, a majority of the pack was present for the Moon Run.
The only people who hadn't come were the Alpha and a few other trusted warriors who remained at the pack house to guard him.
This led to Xavier and Xander, the Beta and Delta, taking over the role of leadership for this month's Moon Run.
As the full moon rose into the sky, the eyes of the werewolves spread out through the area glowed.
Many started to take off their clothes, tossing their shirts, pants, and underwear haphazardly into a pile.
No one cared much for modesty and openly showed off their naked bodies under the full moon.
A few of the younger werewolves, old enough to be seen as of age for the Moon Run, but just recently passed the threshold of puppyhood, couldn't contain themselves as the full moon rose higher into the sky.
They started to howl crazily like foolish little radishes freshly plucked out of the soil.
The older werewolves stared at them indulgently, as if remembering their own stupidity at their first Moon Run.
Xander checked his watch.
Thirty seconds before the Run.
He tossed the watch into the pile of clothes and looked at his brother.
"Get ready."
Xavier smirked.
A growl rumbled from deep within his chest and his gaze turned upward to the moon.
The sound triggered more beastly noises among his packmates.
Muscles rippled and fur grew. Bones cracked and reshaped, and the air was filled with visceral energy.
One by one, the werewolves transformed, their human forms giving way to four-legged beasts.
With a collective howl that echoed through the trees, the beasts ran, led by Xander and Xavier.

Back in the Meute de Loupe pack house, Korvin was once again playing nurse and doctor to a very sick Fenris.
The powerful Alpha werewolf was now reduced to a panting, feverish, sick patient who was semi-conscious and delirious.
Korvin emitted more of his pheromones to comfort Fenris.
"He's not here," he said gently.
"No... don't let him... don't let him..."
"I promise you. He is not here, Fenris. He has left, remember?"
Fenris shook his head. The corners of his were red as if he had been crying for several hours.
He begged Korvin, "Please... he can't... don't let him..."
Korvin stroked his hair, "I won't let him hurt you," he swore.
It took a lot of coaxing, but Fenris eventually fell asleep in exhaustion.
Korvin was equally as exhausted.
He had been emitting his pheromones for hours and felt drained.
Most werewolves could do it with ease, but that was taught by the pack. The release of pheromones for werewolves in packs was a learned behavior. During puppyhood, the pups would be exposed to all kinds of pheromones and smells to better socialize them.
