King stirred awake in the middle of the night, the dim light from his nightstand casting a soft glow in the room. He blinked a few times, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep. His heart sank a little as he realized Oreo was still nestled against him, her head resting peacefully on his chest. The warmth of her body felt incredible, but he was beginning to worry about how uncomfortable they might be on the bean bag chair all night.

He carefully shifted, attempting to lift her without waking her. "Hey, Oreo," he whispered softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. She stirred slightly but didn't wake. He smiled to himself, the sight of her serene expression making his heart race.

With a gentle tug, he pulled her closer and stood up, cradling her in his arms. He moved slowly toward his bed, taking extra care not to jostle her. "You're way too cute to be sleeping on a bean bag chair," he murmured as he laid her down gently in the center of his large bed, ensuring she was comfortable.

As he stood there for a moment, King hesitated, glancing between the empty space beside her and the inviting bean bag chair in the corner. "I mean, it is a big bed," he thought, biting his lip in contemplation. Should he crawl in next to her? The idea sent a thrill through him, but he didn't want to overstep any boundaries. What if it changed things between them?

Deciding he didn't want to take any chances, he shrugged and made his way back to the bean bag chair. "She's just a friend," he reminded himself, even as he felt the pang of disappointment at the distance. Settling into the bean bag, he tried to find a comfortable position, but it was hard to shake the feeling of wanting to be close to her.

As he sat there, he could hear her soft breathing, a steady rhythm that calmed him. "But... it's just so empty without her," he sighed, glancing back at Oreo, who was still sleeping soundly. "Maybe just for tonight... it wouldn't hurt."

With a newfound resolve, he stood up and quietly slipped into bed beside her. He turned onto his side, facing her, and instinctively reached out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. As he lay there, he felt the warmth radiating from her, and he couldn't help but smile. It felt right, like they belonged together in this moment.

King gently pulled her closer, reveling in the comfort of being so near her. As he drifted back to sleep, he whispered, "Goodnight, Oreo," knowing deep down that this was just the beginning of something more.

reo blinked awake, her eyes adjusting to the soft morning light filtering through the curtains. She stretched slightly, feeling the comfort of the bed beneath her. It took a moment for her to process where she was, but as she turned her head, her heart skipped a beat. King was right next to her, still fast asleep, his face relaxed and peaceful.

"Wait, how did I end up here?" she thought, confusion swirling in her mind. The last thing she remembered was snuggling up with him on the bean bag chair, watching that movie. Had she really moved to the bed? A rush of warmth flooded her cheeks as her mind briefly wandered to the possibility of them having done something peculiar.

"No, no, we didn't do anything," she reassured herself, shaking her head slightly as if to dispel the thoughts. "I would remember that." Still, the idea made her stomach flutter with a mix of excitement and embarrassment. She decided to lay back down, letting the moment wash over her.

As she settled into the soft sheets again, Oreo couldn't resist the urge to wrap her arm around King. His warmth was comforting, and she felt a sense of safety envelop her. "This feels nice," she mused, her mind wandering again as she lightly traced her fingers along his arm.

She glanced at him, noticing how peaceful he looked, his chest rising and falling with each breath. "He really is adorable," she thought, biting her lip to stifle a smile. "I can't believe we actually went to prom together. And won prom king and queen!"

Her thoughts drifted back to the night before—the laughter, the dancing, and that moment when King had crowned her with the tiara. "What a perfect night," she reflected, feeling a rush of warmth at the memories they'd created.

As she continued to lie there, a mixture of emotions swirled within her—happiness, comfort, and a hint of nervousness. She wondered if things would change now that they were so close. Would they still be just friends? The thought both thrilled and scared her.

"Maybe I should just enjoy this moment," she decided, snuggling a little closer to him, feeling his warmth seep into her. "Who knows how often I'll get to wake up next to him like this?"

She watched him for a moment, admiring the way his dark hair fell across his forehead, the slight rise of his lips as if he were dreaming of something sweet. Oreo felt a smile spread across her face. "You're really something, King," she whispered softly, leaning in closer, her heart racing with the proximity.

Just then, King shifted slightly, stirring from his slumber. Oreo froze, her breath hitching in her throat. Would he wake up and be awkward about this? The last thing she wanted was for him to feel uncomfortable.

"Mmm, Oreo?" he mumbled, his voice low and sleepy.

Oreo felt her heart race even more. "Oh gosh, he knows I'm here!" she thought, trying to act casual. "Just play it cool."

"Hey, good morning," she replied, her voice steady despite her racing heart.

King opened his eyes, squinting at the light. A slow smile crept onto his face as he took in the scene. "How did you end up here?" he asked, still sounding half-asleep.

"I think you moved me," she teased lightly, trying to keep the mood light. "I don't remember much after falling asleep on the bean bag."

"Right, I was wondering about that. I didn't think you'd mind," he said, his voice becoming more awake as he stretched and looked around the room. "I mean, I hope I didn't do anything weird."

Oreo chuckled, feeling relieved. "Nope, just a couple of friends watching a movie, right?"

"Exactly," he said, grinning at her. "Just friends." But the way he looked at her made her feel like there was so much more unsaid between them.
