As the sun rose on a bright Saturday morning, soft rays filtered through the curtains of King's room, casting a warm glow across the floor. Oreo stirred awake, her mind still hazy from sleep but already buzzing with the excitement of the weekend. She took a moment to relish the peace of the morning before tossing off her covers and swinging her legs over the side of the bed.

"Hey, sleepyhead!" Raina's cheerful voice broke through the morning quiet, her playful tone instantly energizing the room. "You ready to get up, or do I need to throw a pillow at you?"

Oreo chuckled, rubbing her eyes and glancing at the clock. "You wouldn't dare! You know I'm a master at dodging pillows," she teased back, the warmth of friendship washing over her as she began to shake off the remnants of sleep.

"Master at dodging pillows, huh?" Raina smirked, crossing her arms with an exaggerated expression of determination. "Let's put that to the test. King!" she called out, her voice echoing through the house. "Get a pillow and let's see if Oreo can dodge it!"

Oreo quickly jumped off the bed, laughter bubbling up as she rushed to the door. "Okay, okay! I'm getting up! No need for the pillow war!"

King appeared in the doorway, holding a pillow like a weapon, his expression a mix of amusement and mock seriousness. "You're going down, Oreo."

"Not if I can help it!" Oreo shot back, narrowly dodging the pillow as it flew past her.

"Ha! You've got some moves!" King laughed, throwing another pillow that Oreo ducked under, sending it flying toward Raina, who caught it with a dramatic flourish.

"Double team!" Raina shouted, launching her pillow at King while Oreo seized the opportunity to sneak in a well-aimed throw of her own. The room erupted into a flurry of laughter, feathers bursting from pillows as they engaged in a friendly pillow fight, filling the space with joy and energy.

Finally, they collapsed on the floor, breathless and giggling. "Okay, okay, I think we've exhausted ourselves," Oreo said, propping herself up on her elbows. "What's the plan for today?"

Raina sat up, her hair a wild mess from the tussle. "I was thinking we could hit the mall later. There's a new shop I want to check out, and maybe we can grab some food afterward."

King nodded in agreement, stretching out his arms. "Sounds good to me. I could go for some of that new taco place they opened near the mall. I've heard great things."

"Count me in!" Oreo replied, feeling a wave of excitement at the thought of spending the day with her friends. "What time do you want to head out?"

"How about we grab some breakfast first? I'm starving," Raina suggested, glancing at the clock. "Then we can hit the mall after that."

"Sounds perfect! I'll make breakfast! I'm a pro at pancakes," Oreo volunteered, eager to contribute.

"Sure, but I'm setting the table," Raina countered, heading toward the dining area.

King chuckled, "You mean I get to eat all the pancakes you make?"

"Only if you help me with the dishes afterward!" Oreo shot back as she headed toward the kitchen.

As they moved into the kitchen, the atmosphere was light and filled with laughter. Oreo poured the pancake batter onto the hot skillet, the sizzle creating a comforting sound.

"Do you want chocolate chips or just plain?" she asked over her shoulder, focusing on getting the pancakes just right.

"Definitely chocolate chips! It's not breakfast without them," Raina called from the dining room.
