As Oreo and King sat together in his room, comfortable in the quiet moments between their conversations, the door suddenly creaked open. A girl strode in confidently, her presence filling the space immediately. She was shorter than King, with dark, smooth skin and a look of effortless confidence. Her energy was almost electric, a stark contrast to King's calm demeanor.
"Yo, you're hogging all the space as usual, King," the girl teased, a playful grin spreading across her face.
King glanced at her lazily but didn't seem fazed. "You know I don't need to announce myself in my own room, Raina."
She rolled her eyes dramatically. "Always so chill, huh?"
Oreo blinked, sitting up a little straighter. **Who is this?** The thought flickered in her mind instantly. **Wait...Raina? Why haven't I heard about her before?** She watched the easy back-and-forth between King and Raina, clearly comfortable with each other, but it sparked a new curiosity in Oreo.
Raina sauntered over to the bed, plopping down beside King. She looked over at Oreo, then back at King with a knowing look, almost like she was holding back a joke. "Didn't expect to see you hanging out with someone else for a change, King."
Oreo's thoughts were racing, trying to piece everything together. **She's obviously close to him. Is she a friend? A cousin?** Then she paused, remembering King's lack of reaction. **Wait, she just walked into his room like this... Oh, she must live here.**
It didn't take long for the thought to hit her. **Are they... twins? Fraternal, maybe? They don't look anything alike.**
"Raina," King said, finally breaking the silence. "This is Oreo."
"Oh, I know. I've heard about Oreo," Raina said, grinning as she looked Oreo's way, her tone teasing but not unkind.
**Wait, what does she know about me?** Oreo's brain spun. She quickly analyzed Raina. She was shorter than King but had this sassy confidence about her. She could tell by the way Raina acted that she and King were probably close, but was this going to make things awkward?
Oreo felt a sudden wave of insecurity. **Why has King never mentioned her? What if she's one of those siblings who's too involved in his life?** She forced a smile, but internally, she was already analyzing. **Does she think I'm stepping into her territory?**
King seemed completely unfazed, leaning back against the wall. "Yeah, Raina and I are twins. But you wouldn't guess that looking at us."
Raina nodded, raising an eyebrow. "Completely opposite, but I'm clearly the favorite," she joked, nudging King playfully.
Oreo's eyes shifted between them, her mind still reeling. **Fraternal twins... how did I not know?** She didn't voice the question but kept it turning over in her head. **King never talks about his family. Does she know everything about him?**
Raina smirked at Oreo again, as if she could sense Oreo's internal debate. "So, Oreo, how long have you two been hanging out?"
Oreo hesitated for a second before answering. "Uh, a while. We're... close friends."
Raina hummed thoughtfully, her eyes flickering between them, but she didn't push any further. "Cool, cool. Anyway, I just came in to tell King he owes me a rematch in Mario Kart."
King gave a lazy grin. "You know you're not going to win, Raina."
Raina shot him a mock glare, but Oreo could see the playfulness between them. Still, something about Raina's presence made her feel slightly uneasy. **Is this going to be a regular thing? Her just walking in and joining in?**
