Patricia didn't understand why Bernardino had asked her to visit one of their sponsors all by herself with a box of chocolate. She hadn't even met the man and didn't know what to expect. She sighed slowly as she approached the door to his office and knocked gently. After hearing a response, she opened the door and walked in.

Patricia took in the sight of the slightly old man sitting behind a huge desk. He had cigarette in one hand and a glass of wine in the other. He was dressed in a suit that Patricia was sure was damn expensive due to the amount of gold jewelries he had on.

" Mr Hernandez ?" Her voice came out soft.

Hernandez couldn't take his eyes off the beauty in front of him. She was simply dressed in a purple gown that highlighted all her curves, her makeup was neutral, making her look more beautiful. When he had informed Bernardino that he wanted to see her, he hadn't thought it would be this quick, but he was glad it was. He was bored of staring at her pictures.

" Take a seat dear" He said, dropping the glass in his hand.

Patricia felt uncomfortable in his presence, she didn't like how his eyes roamed over her body and how he called her dear. They hadn't even met before.

" Thank you" She said as she sat down, placing the box of chocolate on his desk.

" Is that for me?" Hernandez asked

" Yes Sir" Patricia gave a fake smile, sliding the box over to him.

" That's so sweet" Hernandez smiled, revealing his gold teeth. " Would you mind opening it for me?"

" Sure" She answered, even though she didn't want to. She stood up and opened the box, bringing out the chocolate. She took off the wrapper and placed it on a plate she saw on his table.

" Thank you" Hernandez said as she sat back down. He broke a part of the chocolate and took a bite. " Hmmmm" He moaned softly. " This is sweet"

Patricia smiled. " I'm glad you like it"

" But I bet you'd taste sweeter" He smirked at her.

Patricia gaped at him. What was that supposed to mean? But she gave a nervous chuckle, hiding her anger.

" Are you free this weekend?" He asked her, sipping his drink.

" Why?"

" There's this engagement I'm attending" He smiled. " And I don't want to go alone"

" I'm sure someone else would be willing to go with you " She forced a smile.

" I want you " Hernandez said, pointing his cigar at her.

" I'll see what I can do" Patricia said even though she knew she wasn't going to. " If that's all, I'd like to leave now"

Hernandez smiled at her. She was playing tough. He liked it. " Sure" He said. " I'll be seeing you "

" In your dreams" Patricia thought to herself. " Have a good day" She said and without waiting for him to respond, she walked out of his office.

Hernandez chuckled. " Tough"

Isa stood in her room, folding her already washed clothes, when her phone rang. She smiled, recognizing Racheal's name on the screen.

" Hey girl" She said, picking up the phone.

"Have you seen the news?" Racheal's voice was laced with concern.

"Why? What's on the news?" Isa asked.

"I've sent you a link. Just check it," Racheal urged.

" What's it about?" Isa asked after seeing the link.

" Just check it out, I'll call you back in five minutes " Racheal said.

Isa sighed as she click on the link, thinking Racheal was being dramatic. Her eyes widened as she saw the headline:

"Ricardo Delaroise, Son of Senator Roberto Delaroise, Announced Engagement to Monica Acosta, Daughter of Popular Oil Mogul, Roman Acosta."

A photo of Ricardo holding hands with another woman accompanied the article.

Isa felt like she'd been punched in the gut. Her hands trembled as she read the headline again, hoping she had read it wrong.

Racheal called back, but Isa was too shocked to answer and just then, Jaime walked into the room, finding Isa frozen in shock.

"Isa, are you okay?" Jaime asked, placing a hand on her shoulder.

Isa didn't respond. Her eyes was fixed on the screen.

Jaime gently took her phone and read the article. His expression darkened.

"That bastard," he muttered, gritting his teeth.

As Isa began to cry, Jaime pulled her into a comforting hug.

"Don't cry, he isn't worth your tears," he whispered into her ears.

As much as he was angry, he was also disappointed. He had thought Ricardo really loved her and he was beginning to accept their relationship. He couldn't believe that he would do something like that to her.

Isa sobbed, "It's not true... It can't be true."

Jaime's voice was laced with anger, "It's on the news, Isa. It's true."

" No. It can't" She shook her head, sobbing harder. She couldn't believe it that he was engaged to someone else, when he was just here days ago, confessing his love to her. " I need to see him" Isa raised her head, determination in her eyes.

Jaime couldn't believe her. "You want to see him? After what he's done?"

Isa's voice rose. "He owes me an explanation!"

Jaime's tone was firm. "I won't let you go, Isa. Can't you see? He used you."

Isa stood still. Used her? No. He loved her. He said so. He promised to marry her. He couldn't use her. She was sure he could explain.

"You know nothing about him!" she shouted.

"What were you expecting? That he was going to marry you?" He half yelled. He should have seen through him, she should have. Rick kids don't marry the poor, they go for people in their caliber. He had only used her and he was so upset.

"Yes! He asked me to!" Isa yelled, raising her hand so he could see the ring.

Jaime scoffed. "It's all a lie. A fucking lie just so he could get into your pants!"

Isa slapped him, her eyes blazing. "You know nothing!" she yelled. He hadn't forced himself on her, she had given herself to him willingly and she had enjoyed every part of it. Jaime had no right to talk about him like that when he hadn't even tried getting to know him.

When Jaime saw the hurt in her eyes, he knew he had messed up.

"Isa... I..." he stammered.

Isa's voice was cold. "Get out."

"Isa, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that," Jaime said.

" Get out!" She yelled, tears streaming down her face.

Jaime hesitated before turning to leave.
