The car came crashing into Omar, throwing him onto the ground and freeing Red who collapsed onto his hands and knees as he took in long, slow breaths. His face was now slightly red but he was finally freed. Elijah saw the car crash into Omar and his jaw dropped as he watched the body fly before smashing down into the hard road, his head bleeding with a huge gash that started from the front and went all the way to the back. He stood up clumsily and growled as he eyed the car warily.
The car skidded to a halt and someone came running out. It was Serena. She ran straight to Red and helped him up, her face bright red with anger.
"S... Serena..." I couldn't believe she was actually here, right in front of me, the one who drove straight into Omar in order to save Red. She quickly looked up and saw me, the tears forming in her eyes. She let go of Red, letting Sam help him up and she ran to me, wrapping her arms around me and suffocating me in her tight cuddle, squeezing me and burying her face in the crook of my neck as she sobbed loudly, the tears staining my hoodie.
"Girl.... I was so fucking scared... I thought you were actually gonna die." Clutching me even tighter, she held me close, sinking into the warmth of my body as her tears finally slowed down. "It's okay. Nothing happened to me." Snapping her attention to my face, I saw the scowl on her face, the one that meant she was going to lecture me for probably half an hour. But before she could even start, Sam called out to us quickly.
"Hurry up...". We both turned around and saw Sam helping Red into the back and closing the door, Serena ran to the car and I was following behind until I saw Omar from thr corner of my eye. He was aiming carefully at Sam but I didn't know what to do. If I shouted out to warn Sam, he'd definitely shoot but I couldn't just stand there and watch, I had to do something. I knew Omar wouldn't listen to me and Elijah was staring straight into my soul, warning me stay out of it. Seeing Omar press onto the trigger, the only thing I could do was lift the gun that was in my own hands. Lifting it up quickly, I aimed it at Omar, I didn't have any experience with shooting and all but I just did what I saw Omar doing. Pressing my finger on the trigger, my eyes were wide open, refusing to slightly relax. My heart raced as I held my breath, fighting to keep my hands steady as I prepared myself for the crime I was to commit. The tears sprung in my eyes as I pulled the trigger, the sound of the gun echoing in my mind as the force threw me back. Letting myself stumble, I fell to the ground, watching as the bullet flew at the speed of light, driving right into his forehead. It was just a blur as it buried itself in the smooth skin, going deeper and planting itself in the torn flesh. It landed right in the centre of his forhead, the hole a mixture of black and red, the blood spilling out and down his face. If I said it was a nightmare, I'd be lying. I'd never had a nightmare this bad, I had never actually dreamed of myself murdering someone. The sight was even worse than I'd thought. The blood was dribbling down, the drops fallen everywhere, it was too much. Breaking down for the a millionth time, I screamed, hitting my fists on the floor before hitting my head. It was my fault. Had I never ran away the first time, no one would have died, I would have never killed him and everyone would be completely fine, living their lives the way they had before I arrived and caused chaos. Looking up, I saw Elijah eyeing me with a look of complete and utter shock, frozen and completely stunned. He probably hated me, hated my guts, he probably wanted to kill me the worst way possible, he probably thought I was a monster for killing someone who never did me any harm. He took a small, slow step forward but before he could continue, Sam ran up to me, carried me and began to run to the car. My arm was draped over his shoulder and I watched as the body and Elijah shrink from my sight. This was it, I was going to leave and nothing would be the same ever again. Suddenly, Elijah called out, making Sam stop in his tracks and tightening his grip on me.
"Take another step and your little leader dies." His voice was low and haunting, sending painful vibrations throught my ears. Gritting his teeth, he responded.
