Yulia's POV
It's so fucking dark once I draw the curtains back. Winter is finally here, my favourite season of the year. The coldness matches me well, this time of year makes me look horrific, like a supernatural creature of the darkness; a vampire.
It's only been two days since the pathetic little war took place on the motorway. I'd also been training exceptionally hard, growing my muscles and preparing my body and strength for any future danger. I finally had my first kill, Omar had been my target and it was a perfect shot, a bullseye. I was born to do this, destined to destroy those who didn't deserve to live. And now, I was training for the worst.
Liam had died only because his ego was too big, his pride overpowering his common sense, had he listened to me, he could've saved his own life, as well as many innocent peoples' lives. So in a way, I could say he didn't deserve to live and got what he needed: a life lesson, indeed the life lesson had a big impact on him; he died.
Well, nothing matters anyway. I better get ready now.
It's around 4:30 in the morning, the birds are singing which obviously means it's around that time since that's when they usually sing. I get up and go to the bathroom that's connected to my bedroom with a door. I have my own room, Sam and Red were supposed to share a room but Red slept with Serena instead since they're together.
Ugh, romantic shit.
I take a quick shower, around five minutes before quickly drying myself and putting on a black pair of tracksuit bottoms and a shirt with a matching long hoodie on top. I dry my hair with the hairdryer that's lying on the bathroom counter before tying it up in a tight high ponytail. I cut my hair shorter so the ponytail ends just above my shoulders and I didn't have to bother with brushing it as much. I put on a pair of thick, heavy leather boots and a jacket on top before getting out of the bedroom and connecting the microphone to the huge speakers planted around the chalet and testing it out.
"Hello. Can you hear me? Testing. Testing." I tap on the microphone to make that loud annoying noise before screaming into the mic, my already loud enough voice reflecting off the walls as the ground beneath me vibrates.
"WAKE UP! IT'S FIVE O'CLOCK! TIME FOR TRAINING! GET YOUR ASSES UP AND READY! WE GOT A LONG DAY AHEAD OF US!"
The sound of their groans of discomfort pleasure me, reminding me of the power and control I have over everyone, the authority that emanates from me. I shout even louder, making them all jump out of their bedrooms and sprint into their own assigned bathrooms.
As they all prepare themselves for the probably rough day ahead, I begin to make their daily breakfast: porridge. It was healthy and cheap so they weren't wasting their money on uselessly expensive breakfast supplies. Within twenty minutes they're all out and sitting in their agreed seats at the table downing their bowls of gruel wearing their appropriate outerwear.
"So. Today there will be more training. Obviously the usual. You'll all build muscles eventually, even you Serena. It's for your own good so don't make that face. Shut up and accept it. Let me tell you all, this won't be as easy." I'm sitting on a chair, hunched over with my elbows resting on my legs. I had managed to put on some weight and even began growing muscles on my body. I knew that Elijah would come back and I was preparing myself for it. I didn't care if I had to kill him, I wanted to control my life so I was going to do exactly that.
Serena raises her hand to speak and I nod, allowing her to speak. She sighs and I know that she's scared to ask but does so anyway."Yulia, you haven't exactly told us why we're doing this. I need to know what exactly you mean or what we're getting ourselves into." I hated whenever they asked such questions, they made me want to scream and smash the whole place up, but it also made me want to cry and take out all of the emotions I had stored away since I never let them show anymore. Instead, I stand up and tell them all something before leaving the chalet.
